3. They have glitter.
4. They need 3 coats.
5. They need topcoat to be really pretty.

1. The amount of glitter is sparser in the Catrice.
2. While CG Ruby Pumps is more of a true red at the first coat, the Catrice is definitely more fuchsia.
3. Because there is more glitter in CG Ruby Pumps, it also provides more sparkle and depth.
So, no dupes. But are they worth having both? I think so. I love sparkly reds and the Catrice is just a bit more subdued making it also less in your face. Could come in handy sometimes!
I can't get CG for a nice price so Catrice shade is close enough and beautiful so I really have to have it
ReplyDeleteIt really is a good substitute if you can not get the real thing :).
ReplyDeleteThanks for this comparison! I do have the Catrice polish but after seeing your photos I feel I need Ruby Pumps as well - it looks so much sparklier and opaque... Will add this to my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty color!! Great comparison!
ReplyDeleteThe Catrice looks a lot like Avon Ruby Slippers.
ReplyDeleteYes! China Glaze Ruby pumps is the grown sister version of the Catrice one :). And you are welcome!
ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with Avon polishes at all, but judging on swatches I'd say the Catrice may be a tad darker :).
ReplyDeleteThank you Chloe!
