So, just as many of you out there I absolutely LOVE a england, both as a brand as the person, Adina, behind it. The lacquers are phenomenal in both quality and color range, the customer service is great and I love the bottle design and names.
When word came out The Legends was going to be the second collection, and the first swatches were shown at Ommorphia Beauty Bar, I knew I had to have a few immediately. Those were St. George, Dragon, Bridal Veil and Ascalon. Luckily for us there was the pre-order option through e-mail (Adina must have gone mad at all those orders!) and combined with the Merry Crowns Merlin & Camelot combo I ordered some of The Legends.
Now, for the swatches. Today's colors are shown without base- and topcoat without sunlight, under lamplight. The colors may vary when exposed to sun since it's a totally different kind of light. Too bad there isn't any this time around!
Ascalon, 2 coats. Ascalon is a slightly frosty steelgrey polish, with more noticable holographic particles (though not a true holographic polish) with a purple overcast. The purple overcast makes it so intriging and special. It flowed nicely and even though this can not applied with one coat it still reaches perfect opaqueness at 2.
For the glossy finish no topcoat is needed, drying time is good too but I always like to apply topcoat on a manicure to prevent it from chipping fast.
Bridal Veil, 1 coat. Bridal Veil is a black base with less noticable holographic particles. It covers in one nice flowing coat and looks like a slightly sparkle yet chic black without direct lighting and like a very sparkle yet chic black with direct lighting :). The way it applies and looks reminds of Camelot but with sparklies thrown into the mix.
