Essence Trendsetter

How I love teal. Teal cremes are so sophisticated to me, and they almost go with everything. Essence Trendsetter is one of those pretty teal cremes. Unfortunately it isn't available anymore as it was part of the Multidimension line which is now discontinued, but H&M Moody Model is a dupe for it. The Essence does polish on better though. I needed 2 easy coats for a gorgeous high shine result.

I did a little accent nail with Essence Make It Golden sponged diagonal on the thumbs (hideous pictures) and on the tips of my ring fingers.

What is your fav' creme color?

  2. Purples have always been my favorite, but teal is right up there too.  I love it more and more!
I'd love to see a comparison between this teal Essence, OPI Ski Teal We Drop (bravo Naildrella!) and CND Urban Oasis...they all look kind of similar to me, but I wouldn't be sure unless I saw them side by side.
P.S. I LOVE your layering experiments; they're very inspiring!  I've been doing more and more of those myself lately--so much fun!

  5. Ooh that could be, too bad I don't have that one myself to compare! Grays are always good for these like today - sunday, lazy feeling, bad weather.

  6. Thanks Gena, layering can be so so so much fun especially because you get unique results!

About a comparison - OPI STWD unfortunately isn't in my stash, but CND Urban Oasis is. When I put the swatchsticks side by side there is barely any difference. You could say Essence Trendsetter is a tad lighter and a bit more on the greenish side, but it really is a very minor difference. My boyfriend would say they are identical. H&M Moody Model, another gorgeous teal, has slightly more grey to it compared to Essence Trendsetter. Because I love teal so much I'd say they aren't dupes but it's more so I don't have to purge any ;)!

  7. Thanks! Yeah it sucks especially since there now isn't a good teal in their assortment. I'd say they need to release a new lovely version!

  8. I'm sorry I brought it up, then.  :(   I HATE discovering that I've already got a dupe for a polish I just bought...boo!
I'll bet that the CND isn't as shiny, though!
