Vacation Guest Post - Mimi from MakeupWithdrawal

Yes, another awesome Vacation Guest Post! This time I am honored to show you the gorgeous nails belonging to Mimi from MakeupWithdrawal. I love her site so much guys, she has super pretty nails, does great makeup posts and she is just cute. And she did an awesome guest post with a polish that is still on my wishlist, Barielle Falling Star!

Hi folks! I'm Mimi from MakeupWithdrawal and I was so honored when Deborah asked me write a guest post! L,V,C&M is one of my favorite blogs, her pictures of polishes are so incredible! Today I'll be showing you a manicure I did with Barielle Falling Star and Color Club Wild and Willing.

Barielle Falling Star is gorgeous. I've wanted it for a long time, but it always seemed to be out of stock online at Transdesign. Recently when Barielle had a 40% off sale combined with a Buy-One-Get-One 50% off, I ended up finally getting a bottle of it. It's a slightly dusty medium blue creme with small copper glitter. One top of two coats of that, I did a design using Scotch tape and Color Club Wild and Willing.

Color Club Wild and Willing is another incredible polish. I honestly have never seen anything like it! I don't even know what to call this finish- it's copper flecks that have a multichrome to them, that goes from pink to copper to even golden green.

Thank you so much, Deborah for this chance to write a guest post!

  1. Wow! What a great manicure! And now I have another great blog to follow. :) Thanks for this great guest post!

  2. So pretty, Falling star is on my wishlist too.
    Thanks so much for guestposting!

  3. I just found this one in my stash yesterday when I was looking for a full set up of shades to pick from for this transition time I am in - it's hot, hot where I live and am in shorts/sandals. So I am so not ready to wear deep vampy shades or get into any of the dark shades in a # of the fall collections (thou I only bought a few as I never got through all my fall shades last yr...but this Barielle is beauty-ful and I did pull it out to wear soon. It made me think of the saran wrap mani technique that is popular now and so easy to do - this one comes out kind of like that only shinny and not mushed up from the texture of the saran. My bottle is loaded with the gold foil flakes. It goes on really easy - no fishing for the flakes. I am trying to decide if I want to get the Zoya 18Kt topper that looks like it's gold flake or if I should wait and see - have a feeling it will be a sell out as will the comp coming out from OPI. Don't want the white and black creams that we are forced to buy with the Zoya however since it only is sold in a set of 3...but I can see spending the same $ on a single OPI when that hits because have a feeling it will be sold out ASAP. the OPI for Sephora in 24kt was pricy and it did not look like these - it to me, only looked like some of the gold glitters I already have so I never got the whole crazy over that one or why anyone would spend the $ on it...but maybe I only saw bad bottles of it - I need to look on line to see what it looked like in swatches.

  4. I loooooove this Mimi!! I think I have the Color Club polish in my collection so I'll have to try to recreate this some day. ^_^

  5. Interesting colors and beautiful mani. You've done a good job with the tape!

  6. I still love this post so much ♥. Thanks again love for the great manicure!
