You ready for another awesome guestpost? I am so happy with everyone that wanted to join, including Salla from OMG! Polish' Em! Even though I asked kinda last minute, she still managed to whip up something amazingly beautiful. Thanks so much!
Hello ladies! :) When Deborah asked if I could do her a guest post I didn't doubt a second! However, I did have a small voice in the back of my head doubting if I could do anything worthy of her blog, as I have been taking a small break from nail art.
As I wasn't sure what I was going to do, I took the Helmer drawers holding China Glaze polishes on the floor and started picking up colors. The colors I picked up were all suitable for autumn but I think I can be forgiven as it's already September? ;)
I started with a coat of ChG Desert Sun and let it dry fully before taking a piece of kitchen sponge. I applied a stripe of Lighthouse, Riveting, Harvest Moon and Stella in that order. I aimed the lightest shade close to the cuticle, then carefully rolled the sponge like a stamper. After the stripes were "stamped" on the nail, I gently dabbed the sponge to make the colors blend and form a gradient.
I wanted to do something bold with the gorgeous glass flecked gradient, so I picked up Cheeky Jumbo Plate D. I looked at the patterns and the masked man/woman instantly caught my eyes, I just knew I had to have it on my nails! Best part... I do remember thinking "who'd use this?!" when I first saw the image when I received the plates. ;)
I didn't want to have the same pattern on all nails, so I chose another one to go with the "autumn masquerade" theme and selected a diagonal French tip design that was enough to cover most of my shorties. After waiting a while, I added on a generous coat of Seche Vite to seal in the designs. And that was it!
So here is my interpretation of an autumn masquerade! Hope you enjoyed this post just as much as I did when I was prepping for it. :) And thank you Deborah for having me as a guest on your blog!
