OPI Who The Shrek Are You and Icing Shredded

Hi loves! How are you today? Right now I am hopefully enjoining some dinner with my soon to be ex-colleagues (leaving the department, not the company, so I'll see them around ♥).

The polish I got to show you today was one of my first "must haves" as I got into polish back in 2009. This was part of the Shrek Forever After collection released May 2010, dedicated to the Shrek movie also called Shrek Forever After.

This polish obviously resembles the gorgeous color Ogres are. Haha, gorgeous right? No, it is a weird, funky, slightly ugly color but I love it for that! It also seemed like the perfect base for my untried Icing Shredded. And it was!

Now the OPI didn't apply easy, but it also sat in my drawer since 2010 without having a good shake or two. So, after shaking it. shaking it some more, let it rest, shake it one more time and let it rest some more, it was quite good for a creme of this color. I used 3 coats.

The Icing Shredded needs thinner I guess because the clear base was really thick. The shredded particles applied nicely and I only had to remove 1 sticking up, and pushing back some that were on the tips.

Do you like this combo? And do you like Who The Shrek Are You?

I am SO in love with these "icky" green shades, my current fave is OPI Don't Talk Bach To Me. This is super cool with the black shreddy bits! :)

Yes, it has a very subtle shimmer. I love that it rides the line between mustardy yellow and light pea green. I used it a lot this past halloween. I think I'm going to have to try and track down this Shrek though, I really love how bright it is!
