China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint on

Hi loves! How was your Saturday? We did some grocery shopping and went to the city for a bit this afternoon, had a nice cup of coffee. Also bought new shoes, I've been looking for nice black ballerina's but because my feet are quite big, usually they don't fit. Now I just walked into them and I couldn't be happier! Oh wait, the weather has to get better so I can wear them. Yes, I could be happier!

Today I have another mix & match manicure for you, hope you still enjoy these. I recently received China Glaze Joy in the mail, bought it mainly for stamping, and I also got China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On. When they were sitting together on my desk I thought they looked good next to each other, so I figured I could use them both in 1 manicure!

Sam from The Nailasaurus has really been showing some gorgeous tape designs lately and I wanted to try too. I also remembered these gorgeous layered dots over at Lucy's Stash, and figured it'd go well with this manicure too.

I used China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On in 2 coats on my thumb, index and pinky. My ring and middle finger were painted with 1 coat of China Glaze Joy. I used striping tape for my middle finger and painted 1 coat of KCPO over it, removing the striping tape immediately after it. With designs like these I draw the design on a piece of paper and mark the strips in the order to get them off - I had too much trouble with peeling it off wrong because I didn't remember which ones came first!

Tell me, have you tried tape manicures like this one nail?

  5. Gorgeous mani!!! You did an awesome job with the tape. I'm really impatient with striping tape. I really need to make some time for it.

  14. Thanks Marisa! Striping isn't a hard thing to master I think, but you indeed need to take some time to avoid getting the tape stuck all over the place and (like I had before) pulling them off in the wrong order.
