White Owl Lacquers Never Let Me Go

Hi loves! Today I have another indie polish for you, this time it's another White Owl Lacquers polish, the polishes that are designed by Mara from Mara in Polishland. This lacquer is part of the Heightened Emotions collection she released for Valentine's Day, and it is accompanied by two other polishes.

She sent me this in return because I got her the Essence Snow Jam Trend Edition lacquers and I am happy to own this one, because it has something I didn't have yet in my stash - circle glitter! Look at those perfect little dots! You know, my last name is the Dutch word for dot so this was meant to be right ;-)?

I used 1 thickish coat of H&M Love At First Sight to get an opaque base, and then topped it with 2 coats of Never Let Me Go. I must say, I had a little bit of trouble getting the glitter to come out and play. It sinks to the bottom quite quickly so even if I put the bottle upside down for a few minutes, the glitter went down quickly. I do think this shouldn't be overpowered with glitter though so if I had to choose I prefer it this way, with less dots on the nail.

The color combo is supercute and I liked the endresult! With a topcoat it felt completely smooth. The iridescent glitter shouldn't have been added for my taste.

  2. That's too cute :D

I think I agree with you that it would have been better without the iridescent glitters - they don't reflect well against white and might just look like little dents in the polish. The overall effect is very pretty though - the different shades of pink circles more than make up for this!

  3. I like it but a little more glitter should be better imo! Not too much though. I hate it when glitters sink to the bottom of a bottle :(

  9. Thanks Angie! Yes circle glitter is a nice addition, you could get the circle glitter topper Mara has out, that way you can combine it with lots of polishes ♥.

  10. Thanks, I think you are right - they aren't as screamy as regular glitters!
