Kalahari dotticure

Hi guys!

I've got a dotticure for you this week. I really liked how the manicure I did for the polkadot 31day nailart challenge a while ago turned out, so I thought I would do a another one.

For this manicure I used China Glaze Kalahari Kiss as a base and then did the dots with China Glaze Westside Warrior (green), Misa Office Polish-tics (blue) and Essence Spicy (brown) and different sized dotting tools.

I  had hoped the dots would have a little more contrast, the bottles looked great together, but they turned out a little bit too dark I think. I still like the result tho, I hope you guys do too, and see you soon!

  1. Was it called Kalahari Kiss where you live? It was named Kalahari Khaki in the US from that fall 2011 Safari collection.

  2. Hmm, I'm pretty sure it's Kalahari Kiss....at least my bottle is, and all the searches on google.

  3. I love the randomness of the dots! The colors do seem a little dark, but it still looks good! So who cares! : )

I'm certain it's indeed Kalahari Kiss, because Chalkboard Nails did a manicure based on the name here:

I think Kalahari Kiss is such an interesting neutral polish, and I love the dots on it. The fact that the dots' colors are all dark makes for a more sophisticated effect, I think.

  9. Thank you!
Kalahari kiss really is great right? It's my go-to polish for a non nude neutral!

  10. Perfection. I just love the random pattern--much harder to achieve than something with more order. I tried this out myself...with less successful results, but it was still fun to attempt: http://weheartnailart.net/post/56778246211/rainbow-dotticure-nail-art
