Swatches and review - Essence texture 'Sparkle sand effect' polishes!

Hi guys! Today I have got 2 of the new texture polishes from Essence for you!

These polishes came out just now and Essence is calling them 'Sparkle sand effect' polishes. There are 3 so far: a nude and a red (shown below) and a charcoal, which sadly was sold out already :(

First up is Hey, nude! ( I love that name!), a very pretty pale nude with some silver glitter mixed in. I think this one is as close as you can get to having actually sugared nails. I really loved how this looked with only one coat, so I thought I'd snap a picture of that too. The other pictures are taken with 3 coats. As you can see, Hey, nude! is quite sheer, even at 3 coats. I think that if you wanted it opaque you would have to layer it, or end up with really thick nails. I myself quite like this one a bit see-through, something I usually don't like due to my stained nails.
1 coat.

The red polish is called Me and my lover. It's kind of a pinkish red with gold flecks mixed in, very pretty and feminine! This one applied and dried quite nicely, but needed 3 coats to be opaque. It doesn't stain though, so for a red that's a big plus.

So as far as textures go, these 2 don't have the best opacity. But I do really like them both. The colours are pretty and they apply really smoothly and dry fast. I quite like the sheer effect of Hey, nude!

Great budget textures I would say, I will probably go looking for the gray one as well!

I liked Hey Nude a lot! It's discreet but still very pretty and sprakly.

  2. Hey, nude is a definite must-have in my opinion. I love the nude and soft, yet super trendy appearance of it.

  4. Ohh, how odd! Mine dried SO slow compared to other textures, did a quick try again yesterday but still no luck. Wonder what's causing that then! Anyway, nice swatches :)

  5. Really? That's really strange. It is quite cool in my house, maybe it was hot when you tried them?

The only other textures I used were the P2 ones. The essence polishes dried slower, but still faster than a regular polish
