Hi loves! How are you today? Hope you are doing well. I am going crazy over an itch - I got a new tattoo last Tuesday and it is healing well, meaning it itches like crazy!
Today I have for you something special: Too Fancy Lacquer The Dusk To Dawn collection! This 4 piece collection will be released tomorrow so I hope these swatches will help you decide which ones to get (I'd say get them all).
The formula on these was amazing. Buttery, self leveling, super glossy. 3 out of 4 were opaque in 2 coats, only one needed 3. I really liked applying these! I used Duri Rejuvacote for a base, no topcoat to show the amazing shiny finish. Let's get started!
Too Fancy Lacquer Nemo's Pad. A pinkish coral linear holo.
When I first saw this in the bottle, I had slight "grandma" associations with the color. It isn't grandma at all, it is superflattering! I think this is a great work appropriate shade, and the holographic sparkle keeps it from being dull. It applied super easy in 2 coats and dries to an amazing high gloss finish.
Too Fancy Lacquer Hold Out The Olive Branch. A dirty khaki green linear holo.
Yes. Yes, yes YES. I love this! SUCH a stunning shade. The color applies a bit less dirty than it looks in the bottle (less brown toned) but I don't care. It's dark, it's green, it's holo. It is perfect for Fall! Application was again a dream in 2 coats. Another view at it over at Instagram.
Too Fancy Lacquer Us Gals Just Wanna Have Fun. A bright neon magenta pink linear holo with purple shimmers.
Bright indeed! I was worried I couldn't capture the brightness but luckily I succeeded (although my skin looks a few shades to dark now). I need 3 coats for this one to get rid of VNL (it makes me realise my nails just keep growing so quickly!) and I loooove how bright and in your face this is!
Too Fancy Lacquer Wash The Blues Away. A marine blue linear holo.
I personally wouldn't call this marine blue, maybe more.. sky blue, or pool blue? What ever you call it, it is pretty! It doesn't really show a linear holo but the sparkle is definitely there, making it a very happy and pretty polish. 2 easy peasy coats were needed.
Whew, what a lovely collection! If I had to pick a favorite it'd be Hold Out The Olive Branch, it is the perfect shade to venture into Fall. But I really liked every piece in this collection! Tell me in the comments which one is your favorite ♥.
Too Fancy Lacquer is a handmade indie brand based in Hong Kong. The formula is 3 free (no formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate). The current batches are made with a base that has a typical smell, similar to the old ILNP formula. In the future the base will be changed.
