Bondi Lady Liberty and my homemade 24k gold topcoat

Hi loves! How are you today? Hope you are doing alright :).

Today I have for you a combo that I've been wanting to try for a while now, but just never got around to actually slap on! Mint & turquoise look so pretty with gold, and the other day I had no idea what to polish (I was rummaging through my Helmers thinking "I have NOTHING to wear. NOTHING!" though this proves otherwise) so I grabbed Bondi Lady Liberty and used 2 coats of it. After it dried I used 1 coat of my homemade 24k gold topcoat and quickly added a second coat of my Essence Better Than Gel Top Sealer to finish it off. I applied it a bit too fast and though I did clone out most air bubbles for these pictures (it was my faulty application so I don't like the bubbles ruining the pictures) you can still spy some of them.

I really liked this combo and I think it suits most seasons too. The gold topcoat really goes with a lot of things ♥.

What do you think of this combo? And what should I really layer the gold topcoat over next time I use it?

Gorgeous!!! Hmmm... How about red? I love red and gold together.

  2. I like it! Good base polish too, Lady Liberty reminds me of the statue, and this sort of looks like copper with patina :D I need to make a gold flake topcoat!

  3. Also, how about layering it over either a metallic purple or a silver? :D

  9. Yes, I'll definitely try that soon too! Like China Glaze Velvet Bow, a deep dark red ♥

  11. Thanks Amanda! You really should try and create a gold flake topcoat, easy and cheap! The layering suggestions sound great too :).

  13. Thanks Kati! I just used a bottle of my favorite topcoat (Essence Better Than Gel Top Sealer). The flakies do sink but turning the bottle upside down for a bit before using helps :).
