China Glaze Velvet Bow

Hi loves! Just a very quick scheduled post today as I am in Poland at the moment.

China Glaze released a lovely Holiday collection in 2011 called Let It Snow. Unfortunately the post I wrote about it doesn't have pictures anymore (I had an accident last year deleting all my pictures..) so I figured I could show you this beauty again! Velvet Bow is a lovely burgundy red polish. I really like how this is quite dark but not looking black at all - very vampy! My pictures show it a bit too bright.

I used 3 coats this time around, might be my longer nails but it wasn't opaque enough at all at 2. It applies nicely though thin, so be careful to keep it away from your cuticles. Clean up isn't nice with colors like these! It dries very shiny and topcoat adds to that.

What do you think of reds like these? Too dark or not dark enough? Tell me in the comments!

  1. That is a pretty red. I like the darker tone, it's almost like blood. That sounds creepy, but it is.

  2. I love it. It is the perfect fall/winter red!

I think reds like these are lovely, but just not on me.

  4. I thought the exact same thing so I don't think it sounds creepy haha!

  5. Aww, that's a bummer :(. But you rock the brighter metallic ones really well!
