Hi loves! How are you doing? I am probably having a great time, as tonight is the concert of Queens Of The Stone Age which I am visiting :-). So a prepped post tonight and one featuring an awesome technique I just learned!
These nails were done using the "distressed" technique. It's actually quite easy and if you can polish your nails you can manage this, I promise! Sarah from Chalkboard Nails made a great tutorial which explains it all, but in short, you are using your almost dry brushes from your polish bottle.

I started with China Glaze For Audrey, can you believe I didn't own this classic shade yet? Now I finally do and I was itching to use it. I painted 2 coats and let it dry properly (your base has to be dry for the next step). This applies heavenly for such a creamy and pale shade! After it dried, I used Bondi NYPD as my first color. Just clean your brush as much as possible on the bottle neck, leaving behind virtually NO polish (there will be polish hidden in the brush, so just clean it as much as you can, there will be enough to work with). Then, using short, firm strokes, brush over your basecolor. You'll get messy, edgy spots of polish! Then I used Bondi Strawberry Fields as my second color, and repeated a third time using Catrice The GlamoureX Factor. After it all dried (didn't take long) I used Wet 'n Wild Black Crème for the finishing touch!
I reeeeally liked the effect (the first 5 minutes I had to get used to it, then I loved it) and it is so easy! All you need is some nice colors together.
Have you tried the distressed nails technique? Will you be giving it a try after seeing these nails? Let me know in the comments!
