Top 10 Nail Art Posts in 2013

Hi loves! The last days of the year are passing by and it's time to look back at everything both Loqi and I have done this past year. Today it is all about nail art :-). I picked my Top 10 Favorite Nail Art Posts! The only order I could put them in was chronological, because picking 10 was too hard already.

Sometimes more is more, and that was absolutely the case with these nails! A gradient, glitter tips AND a goldleaf topcoat? Yes please! A variation on a manicure by Marta, this manicure even made it's way to my blog business cards :-).

This really was a pile up of different things, but somehow the nails worked very well together. I think my favorite nail is the taped one.. it just looks so crisp!

Wow, has it been so long since this graced my nails? Time really flies by so quickly! I managed to pull off some great splatter nails and decided to pair them with dots to keep it a bit more calm. The retro vibe worked really well with these!

Wow, did these draw attention or what?! Looking like icecream, the gradient super smooth, my favorite part about this manicure is actually that black speckled topper.

I really loved this purple shade from the China Glaze Avant Garden collection, and the stamping came out so crisp and strong.

A manicure inspired by (or stolen from) Nail Polish Wars
Yeah, I still can't with this gorgeous look from Nicole. It's just too pretty. That stamp still has to come live with me so I can fully recreate it on all 10 nails :-).

Saran Wrap Marble featuring OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender & Bondi Fuchsia-istic
I don't seem to do anything original now, do I ;-)? This was also inspired by a great blogger! This was based on 2 looks from Sugar Nails, and gold leaf is always a good idea, right?

Gradient leopard with various greens
This list would not be complete without some leopard nails now would it? I really enjoy freehanding leopard spots as it's easy and fast, and you can adjust the color combo to anything you like. Or in this case, create a gradient with it!

Black & White gradient
Yup, another manicure created because of the gorgeous results of another blogger! This is getting boring LOL. I do however still long for that glittertopper she used in her version. If you love me and have a bottle laying around.. you are more than welcome to send it to me :-D!

Dior Purple Mix stamped with OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest and MoYou London
In this post I shared my first experiences with MoYou London, and I've been in love with them ever since. Easy stamping, gorgeous plates, great quality.. what's not to love?

OPI My Vampire Is Buff & Too Fancy Lacquer Chocolate Gold stamped!
I love the pale creamy shade of OPI My Vampire Is Buff for nail art, and it proved to be the perfect base for Too Fancy Lacquer Chocolate Gold! That shade really works wonders both as a stamping polish and by itself ♥.

Christmas Nails - a england Jane Eyre and MoYou London stamping
Very recent, but I just loved it so much! The stamping came out super crisp and bright and the contrast.. *dreamy sigh*.

Honorable mentions (but since they were guestposts, I forgot about them for this list..) are
My guestpost for Polish Chest featuring China Glaze Exotic Encounters, a england St. George and yes, more MoYou London stamping!
My guestpost for My Polish Stash featuring Bondi Uptown Girl, The New Black and SpaRitual Howl combined with tape!

Whew! That was quite the list huh? I hope you enjoyed looking back and please tell me - what was YOUR favorite from 2013?

Haha! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only blogger who gets inspiration from other bloggers! You are actually one of the bloggers I love to borrow/steal from ;) Great post!

  3. Definitely not! If there weren't any other bloggers I would probably never do nail art, lol. And I love that you use this blog as inspiration too :).
