Hi loves! It's been a while since I've shown you a stampicure, so I figured it was time for another tone-on-tone look :-). The absolute Queen of these looks is Bregje from Oooh, Shinies! and I've used her looks as inspiration many times before. Maybe this time I can serve as some inspiration for her!
I started with a base of OPI I'm Feeling Sashy, part of the Miss Universe 2013 collection. It's a bit more purple in real life but it would look more rose toned because of the stamping I think. It's opaque in 2 coats and while it doesn't show the nail line, it still has some sort of squishy feeling to it. After it dried, I used MoYou London Pro 03 XL and China Glaze Joy to stamp.
Not much more to say about this look, other than that I LOVED the combination of these colors :-D! Tone-on-tone looks are such an easy way to spruce up a creme base, without getting too flashy or bold. In some lighting it doesn't even show up that well, while at other moments you'll see the full glory of the image.
What do you think of this combo? And what is your favorite tone-on-tone combination? Tell me in the comments!

OMG! Such a lovely colors!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, Bregje is immediately who I thought of when I saw this! I have attempted this once or twice but never with results as lovely as yours (or hers!)! The mani she did in this post (http://bit.ly/19LKTSV) is the one that "introduced" her blog to me and I've been a follower ever since, I love a good nude stamped mani!

Fantastically GORGEOUS!!!!! I am usually a very glittery flashy girl--but I would totally do this as a mani! As for tone on tones...I'm getting ready to do purples (but there are some glitter bombs involved lol). I love pinks and teals too.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Eva!
