Swatches & Review - HARE Twin Peaks pt. 2

Hi loves! Finally I have for you the second part of the HARE Twin Peaks collection. It has been ages since I showed you the first part! Today the shades are The Knockouts Of The Double R, The Red Room and last but not least Wrapped In Plastic. Again, Nikole did great capturing the essence of the show in these polishes :-). Let's get started!

The Knockouts Of The Double R is an aqua blue jelly with white flakies and white squares in 2 different sizes, topped off with aqua blue shimmer. This is created for miss Norma Jennings and Shelly Johnson, hoping they could match their nails to their uniforms ;-).

The first coat felt like it would never get opaque ever, but it surprised be my looking perfect at 3 thin coats, and it dries to a smooth finish (but I did use topcoat). The aqua blue shimmer gives a lovely sparkle.

The Red Room is a red jelly base with hexes and squares in black and white, plus white flakies and shimmer. The inspiration for the polish? Yeah, that should be obvious huh ;-). I chose to layer this one as it seems my bottle might be defective (I have already contacted Nikole about it so if there is anything that needs to be done it is up to her) - it has a more brownish tinge to the base rather than being a bright red shade. So I put 2 coats over 1 coat of Wet 'n Wild Red.

It applies dreamy, the glitter spread is easy and it lays down smoothly. I really like the white squares!

Wrapped In Plastic is a subtle blue toned grey jelly with white, aqua and iridescent gold glitter throughout. The must have of the collection! Gah, this is SO pretty! The inspiration for this color is also quite obvious, but if you haven't seen the show yet I don't want to go into detail.

I used 3 coats for this one, but you could also layer it over something like China Glaze Sea Spray (tried that later and they match very well!). It dries a bit bumpy but a thick coat of topcoat evens that out. This is really delicate and pretty, the iridescent gold glitter almost looks copperish.. *sigh*.

  1. These are all gorgeous but my favorite would have to be Wrapped In Plastic. It is stunning! I like that it's really delicate but still amazing at the same time.

I had myself talked out of Wrapped in Plastic, but after seeing this, I definitely need it!! Along with Wonderland Wanderlust... I've been considering that one for awhile. :)
