Hi loves! Happy Valentine's Day (if you celebrate), hope you are having a fun day! Today I have a very fun manicure for you that I reeeally adored - a leopard print skittlette! I am not the best freehand artist, but leopard spots are so easy to do and give a great effect. So when I was thinking about doing them again, I quickly decided to combine it with a few funky colors.
I started with a base of 2 coats of Bondi Lady Liberty on my middle and index finger. Then, I picked Too Fancy Lacquer This Love Is Smokin' Hot and used it for the colored part of my leopard spots. You can do this with both a dotting tool or just the brush itself! I outlined with a dotting tool and black polish. My ring finger and thumb are 3 coats of China Glaze Champagne Kisses, no topcoat. I once read a tweet from my friend Radha saying she considered the China Glaze micro glitters to be the first textures, and she seemed right! The finish felt exactly like the Zoya PixieDusts, and it was both matte and sparkly awesomeness ♥. Really, try them without topcoat! I used Too Fancy Lacquer This Love Is Smokin' Hot for my pinky too :-).
The combination of the hot pink and the minty base worked really well I think, and the textured glitter added some sparkle without looking too glittery (at least that's how I feel lol!).
What do you think of this combination? And have you ever tried the China Glaze micro glitters without topcoat?
