Dior Porcelaine

Hi loves! Every once in a while, I'll allow myself to buy a polish that's way too expensive, but makes my heart skip a beat. It's usually a Chanel or Dior one, and this time I fell in love with Dior Porcelaine. Lucky me, I had a giftcard that left me with just a few bucks to pay, so I didn't hesitate to grab this beauty! It's part of the Dior Spring collection called Trianon. There are 3 more gorgeous shades but I can't justify another $32 polish...

Dior Porcelaine is a gorgeous soft blue that really mimics porcelain for me. It has that white tinge to it, while looking kinda glassy because it isn't super creamy but more on the jelly side. I needed 3 coats and it leveled quite well for such a pale shade. In the bottle you can spy that characteristic shimmer Dior adds to their colors - it doesn't show up on the nail (or barely) but a little hint of shimmer always make application a bit easier in my opinion.

After it dried, I decided this would be the perfect base for some white stamping. I grabbed MoYou London Suki 08 and picked my favorite stamping image, together with Konad White :-). I think it looked so delicate and feminine!

Do you treat yourself to a high end polish every once in a while? If so, what was your last splurge?

  2. I love that Dior polish! I don't really buy expensive polish, the colours are never really worth it for me, especially when other brands tend to dupe them fairly often :P

  3. Lovely mani! Like yourself, I tend to buy way too expensive polishes once in a while. But sadly, they usually don't really "wow" me anymore, once I got them. But I'll probably never learn ;-)

  6. My last and only splurge was for the Cult Nails Angel Whispers set that I picked up on a pre sale. They are still in my untrieds though...

  8. True, but sometimes it's just the feeling of the luxurious bottle and box that makes it worth it for me :P.
