Easter Nails with Sally Hansen Butterscotch

Sally Hansen Butterscotch yellow polish
Hi loves! Remember Sally Hansen Resurrection, my amazing polish find for only 99 cents? Well, when I went to another Action last week for something, I checked if they still had any Sally Hansen polishes left.. and they did ^^. So I grabbed Sally Hansen Butterscotch as recently I am trying to like and wear yellows more often.

Sally Hansen Butterscotch was released as a limited edition in 2013, it was one out of 3 shades for Tracy Reese Designer collection. It's a yellow that isn't as bright as it seems to be in my pictures, it actually has a slight brownish tint to it (hence the name Butterscotch). The best part about it is the formula. 2 easy, buttery coats. No streaking, no dragging, self leveling, yellow perfection. That doesn't happen too often!

After I painted this one on I wanted to stamp it, but failed miserably. Then, I decided it'd make a great base for an Easter look, and I grabbed my small dotting tool and OPI My Vampire Is Buff to achieve that!

I did a very simple polkadot design, when the dots are more sparse it doesn't look as "childish" to me, so I prefer to keep it low key. Give the dots some proper dry time before you use a topcoat or you'll smear them!

Do you like this design? And what are you wearing for Easter? Tell me in the comments!

This looks really good. I'm the same in that I rarely reach for yellows and also get frustrated with the formula. Glad to hear sally hansen is a winner :)

  3. Yeah yellow can be such a pain in the ass! And the color doesn't always match my skintone so that doesn't help either.. thanks for the compliment!

Butterscotch is such a fun color, one of my absolute favorite SH polishes! I love that you chose MVIB to dot with instead of a stark white, it gives it a bit of a vintage feel to me. :)
