Hi loves! Whew, I've missed you guys. My nails are finally looking less nubby and more "me" again, and I went to Germany over the weekend which obviously means new polish, but before trying any new products I got inspired by an image from the Nail It! Magazine (May/June edition) and went with that idea first :-).
I used 3 polishes for this look: OPI Live. Love. Carnaval which is a super gorgeous and bright coral shade. I also used H&M Love At First Sight and GOSH Groovy Grey for the taped nails. This wasn't too difficult to create, the only thing that took me some more effort was to fill in the bottom taped part. I always pool my cuticles somehow when doing this!
The contrast between the bright shade and the stark white and muted nude looked really good to me and the design itself is fun too, so I might try this again with different shades.
What shades would you combine in this tape design? Tell me in the comments!
LOL Yesterday, I thought of something similar with essie Blanc, Spin the Bottle and Tart Deco! It would be nearly the same colour combination ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your design! And I need to use my striping tape more often ^^
Oooh so pretty and elegant!
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderfull, I like the combination of grey with colour very much. The better when it comes with black or white. Don't know why but this is my most liked shade range. Coral is maybe not this perfect colour for me but on the pictures it looks just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely manicure! Live. Love. Carnaval is on my toes right now :-)
ReplyDeletethis is gorgeous! the colours just work perfectly together.

ReplyDeleteThanks doll!
ReplyDeleteMaybe because grey and black and white are so easy to combine :)? You will always get a striking effect combining those shades! Thanks for the sweet words!
ReplyDeleteIt's SUCH a happy color :D!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :)
