Hey loves! How's your weekend? Mine is great so far :-). Went to the hairdresser this morning and got a whole new look, also shopped a few fun things at Primark and H&M, and this afternoon I edited some pictures to show you guys! Tonight some serious burger eating and tomorrow will be spend with family and friends ♥. I love weekends!
So, today I want to show you 2 shades from Polish Addict Nail Color. Another new to me brand, kindly provided by Hypnotic Polish for review. The shades I received are Unicorn 2.2 which is a lavender holographic topper filled with iridescent glitter, and Clovers which is a superfun thermal polish filled with holographic sparkle. Let's take a look!
Polish Addict Nail Color Unicorn 2.2 is as I said, a lavender topper. I wouldn't build this up to opacity as I think you'd need 4 coats at least, but layered over something else this beauty presents itself very well. The formula was a bit too thick for my taste so I added about 5 drops of thinner before my first use. That made it easier to control and apply more evenly which is important when you layer something.
My base is 2 coats of Essence Dress For A Moment, a lovely soft lavender shade. Then I used 2 coats of Unicorn 2.2 and sealed it in with a layer of G&G HK Girl top coat. What's really fun about Unicorn 2.2 is the iridescent glitter. Over my soft base it didn't pop much but I am sure if you use it over something darker, it'll show way better. The holographic effect is strong and very easy to spot.
Polish Addict Nail Color Clovers is the thermal and well, I love thermals :-D! So I was excited to try this. It goes from a springy light green when warm to a tealish darker green when cold. There is some limegreen glitter in there as well as a holographic sparkle so enough to keep your eyes busy.
I used 3 coats of this one because I am always scared to have sheer nails when the polish reaches the warm state. 3 coats was more than sufficient to eliminate that. Application was easy, it's a tad on the thick side but good to control and the polish spreads nicely. The finish is smooth and a coat of G&G HK Girl top coat made it shiny and pretty!
The transition is quick and easy to see which I like, why wear thermals if you can barely see any difference, right? I also snapped a fun transition picture :-).
What do you think of these shades, see anything you like? Tell me in the comments!
