Hi loves! Today I am showing a gorgeous polish from a Dutch indie brand called Polish Alcoholic. Sabrina (the mastermind behind this brand) isn't only a polish creator but also a blogger herself and I have been following her blog for a while now, eyeing the pretty shades she created. So when she contacted me asking if I was interested to try some, I immediately said yes!
The first one I tried and got pictures of is Polish Alcoholic Bradypodion (holo). This is also available in a regular multichrome version without the added holo effect. Currently both versions are in store so you can pick the one you like if you are interested ;-).
Let's start with some basic info on the brand, shall we? All polishes are created by Sabrina, one by one and in small batches, to keep them unique. Customs are also available upon request. All polishes are created with a transparent base that's big3free, and with solvent resistant glitter. They can be purchased through Sabrina's Etsy store and vary in price depending on the ingredients used. The average bottle size is 10 ml.
Polish Alcoholic Bradypodion (holo) is a multichrome with a holographic finish that shifts from cyan to purple with hints of red and gold. It's a bit sheer and I always love how the colorshift pops over a dark base, so I chose to layer 2 coats over a black base. It applied really easy and even, the flat brush seems to help with that. Sometimes layering a shade like this over a black base will give an uneven finish or a streaky appearance but I didn't have that at all now.
I used topcoat to finish everything and the holographic effect wasn't dulled resulting in a shiny glassy finish! And the colorshift.. it's perfect! I always shoot my pictures with quite bright direct lighting (great for bringing out the holo) and it doesn't highlight the colors in this polish, but I can assure you it shifts easily!
What do you think of this polish? Any experience with Polish Alcoholic shades? Tell me in the comments!
