Hi loves! How are you doing? Today I have another quick and simple blogpost for you (I normally would post Dance Legend swatches today but hadn't prepared any.. sorry!). It all features my new favorite stamping image EVER :-D!
A while back I was staring at the Emily de Molly stamping plates *again* and realized I had some money left in my PayPal account... well, that didn't last long ;-). I ordered both EDM01 and EDM05. The person who convinced me to get EDM01 is definitely Margaret, and I had to try it immediately. I had seen it on her Instagram account and fell in love with the "henna" design. It's so delicate and pretty!
The plates don't have a paper backing so the edges are a bit sharp, but didn't cut me. There's a blue protective film over the front you have to remove upon first use, and then a well etched and perfect plate appears. I used my squishy MoYou London stamper for this and it picked up the image perfectly. The size of the images is 18 mm high and 15 mm wide, enough to cover my longer than usual nails easily.
I painted a base of Sally Hansen Greige Gardens, another bargain find, and stamped using China Glaze 2030. I love metallics on a creme base! My ring finger got the first initial stamp and I tried too hard lining up the image, but failed to stamp my entire nail. User error!
Another great thing about this look is that I used Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat to seal it in, and it doesn't smudge stamping! At all! Normally I always ended up with one or two small smudges, but not with this topper :-).
What do you think of this stamping plate? Would you buy it? Tell me in the comments!
