HARE Jackalopes - For Margot Tenenbaum & Perfect Storm

Hi loves! Today I have 2 lovely HARE Polish shades to show you which are part of the Jackalope series. Check my post about the first Jackalope called Anemone Gardens to read all about it :-). In this post you'll be seeing For Margot Tenenbaum, a minty green jelly with gold dots, hexes, flakies, and shimmer plus a smattering of glowy gold iridescent glitter as well. and Perfect Storm, a mix of fuchsia dots, neon pink hexes and squares plus gold dots and hexes in a deep navy blue jelly base. This shade is also accented by prominent gold, fuchsia and purple shimmer.

HARE Jackalopes For Margot Tenenbaum
HARE For Margot Tenenbaum was created for the movie character Margot Tenenbaum, from the movie The Royal Tenenbaums directed by Wes Anderson. I've never seen this movie before but I am putting it on the watch list now!

The base of this polish is a minty green jelly which is both sheer and opaque at the same time.. it has that squishy finish but the color builds up nicely. I used 3 thin coats for my swatch and the only issue I had is that the glitter is so easy to get out, you might get a bit too much glitter on your nails! I adore the glitter mix in this one, it feels a bit like a dotted version of HARE Bisbee to me. This is over a base of Duri Rejuvacote and Glisten & Glow Stuck on Blu! then 3 layers of colors topped with a coat of Gelous and Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat for a smooth finish.

HARE Jackalopes Perfect Storm
HARE Perfect Storm is a gorgeous, super intense and amazingly beautiful shade. I can't stop looking at the pictures, there is so much going on with this shade without looking over the top or weird. This is a strong contender for my favorites list at the end of the year ^^!

The base of this polish is a deep dark navy jelly, it didn't seem to sheer but especially with dark colors I want to make sure I can wrap my tips properly, so I used 1 coat of OPI I Saw.. You Saw.. We Saw.. Warsaw as my base and then layered 2 coats of HARE Perfect Storm over that. The shimmer is so pretty in this one! The base I used is Essence Studio Nails 24/7 Nail Base, 1 coat of OPI then 2 of HARE, topped with 2 layers of Essence Better Than Gel Top Sealer.

Bonus picture! It's quite hard to photograph a shade properly when a glitter catches the light all the time ;-).
