Hi loves! Another beauty sent to me by PrettyPolish, this time China Glaze Seas The Day from the 2014 Summer collection called Off Shore. PrettyPolish is a nail polish stockist that has a great mixture of indie brands and mainstream labels. The most exciting thing is they stock brands we usually can't get our paws on brands such as Zoya and Color Club, but also piCture pOlish, SpaRitual and other brands. Shipping is available internationally so be sure to take a look and check out what they have to offer!
China Glaze Seas The Day is a bright red creme shade. It actually looked a bit pink to me in the bottle but that totally disappears once you put this on the nail. The formula is lovely, 2 coats were all I needed and they went on smooth and buttery. One of the reasons I love reds from China Glaze is because I love the brush so much. I can apply with minor mistakes making clean up an easy job. Also, this one didn't stain my skin while doing clean up so extra yay!
After wearing it for a day, I decided to give it some extra oomph and tried my hand at the stamping decal technique. I am going to need some more practice, lol! I used an image from the MoYou London Sailor 05 plate and Revlon Copper Penny to fill in the areas I wanted colored. For this technique I followed the tutorial by Lucy's Stash!
Even though it didn't come out perfect, I absolutely LOVE the combination of the red, black and gold and will definitely try this again. After all, practice makes perfect (or less imperfect ;-)).
What do you think of this red shade? And have you ever tried stamping like this? Tell me in the comments!
