Zoya Bar

Zoya Magical PixieDust Bar
Hi loves! Today I have another glitter polish to show you, and it's quite magical (pun intended). This is Zoya Bar from the Magixal Pixie collection released last Spring. PrettyPolish was kind enough to send this to me! PrettyPolish is a nail polish stockist that has a great mixture of indie brands and mainstream labels. The most exciting thing is they stock brands we usually can't get our paws on brands such as Zoya and Color Club, but also piCture pOlish, SpaRitual and other brands. Shipping is available internationally so be sure to take a look and check out what they have to offer!

So, Zoya Bar.. I'll admit, I wasn't too thrilled when I received this. I never really liked the chunky textured polishes and also noticed in swatches these are kinda sheer, so I wasn't sure how it would work out on me. But, it doesn't look too bad at all! The base of Zoya Bar is a golden nude, and it holds various sizes of holographic glitter. You don't have to make an effort to get the glitz on the digits! The brush picks up all glitter easily and distribution on the nail was pretty effortless. With your first coat you can lay down the base, while the second will fill in blank spots. The texture appears quickly and is quite rough, at least to me. The larger holographic bits create an uneven surface making it easy to catch my hair or clothes.

My final verdict: while it looks nice, the end result isn't something for me. It's too rough and scratchy, but the sparkle is gorgeous and even the slightly sheer base is pretty in this look. If you don't mind a rougher surface or you just love sparkle, try it out! You ca grab this with a 10% discount using the code LOVE on check out at PrettyPolish.

  1. I think it looks really great but I agree, the chunky texture effect is a bit much. Catches in my hair too which is why I avoid it. Adore your swatches though!!!

  2. Hmmm... I really dig the color. I love glitter polishes the more I buy them so I'm thinking this might be for me. I've had my eyes on Hexy Bikini by KBShimmer that's coming out soon too that is similar to this in that it's super glittery and pretty rough.
