Hi loves! Today I have a textured beauty for you which I bought at Primark. For those unfamiliar, Primark is a large clothing company that has companies all over Ireland, the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal and Belgium. Besides clothing for men, women and children they also sell home accessories and beauty products which includes nail polish! The regular polish is priced at € 1,50 which isn't expensive at all, but I haven't tried those yet. However this textured one really spiked my interest and at € 2,50 it wasn't too risky to try!
The beauty brand name is P.S. but unfortunately the polishes aren't named individually. Most textures had a silver sparkle, this one stood out because of the raspberry base and golden sparkle. The bottle is rectangular with a cap as wide as the bottle, and it was only until after I was done I found it the cap could be removed... yeah, that would have made application a lot easier! The brush is quite wide and flat with a tapered end, not my favorite style because of my narrow nailbeds, but the quality is alright. No hairs sticking out and cut even, so that's okay!
To achieve the look you see I needed 3 coats. My nails are quite long these days so visible nail line is more of a problem, and at 2 coats it was just a tad too sheer. It's quite jelly in finish and the sparkle shines through easily. Other textures like the PixieDusts dry faster, but it's not too bad in drytime.
In the end I really liked this one and it got me curious about the other polishes, so I'll check them out next time I'm at Primark again!
Is this raspberry texture something you like? And do you have a Primark where you live? Tell me in the comments!
I was on the duo chrome bandwagon for awhile, but lately they haven't been as exciting to me. What's your favorite duo/multi chrome right now?
ReplyDeleteI loooove duochromes. I'm not too familiar with duochromes in nail polish, but I love eyeshadows that are duochrome!
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of duo chromes, but I don't find myself wearing them much lately. I may wear one today just for the hell of it.
ReplyDeleteDuochromes are among my very favorite polishes, always!
ReplyDeleteI'm probably one of the few people who isn't a huge fan of duo/multichromes. I would much rather wear a creme and/or a glitter. But I appreciate all nail polishes in some aspect and d/m-chromes are always so enchanting to look at!
ReplyDeleteI love duochromes and multichromes. KBShimmer and ILNP make most of my favs. Girly Bits too.
ReplyDeleteI think they look nice, but I don't own a lot of either.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so great having one in my hometown! And yes, this is pinkish enough to not be considered a true red I think :).
ReplyDeleteHmm, I think my favorite one must be Dance Legend Boo - I love warm tones!
ReplyDeleteThat's something I am not experienced with at all! Any recommendations :)?
ReplyDeleteThe fall weather is the perfect time of year I think - the light gets softer and more muted which allows the finish to show it's true beauty :).
ReplyDeleteWhich one is your absolute favorite :)?
ReplyDeleteI have my periods of loving/hating these finishes. Sometimes it's just too much or something!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried any from Girly Bits or KBShimmer, though I'd like too.
ReplyDeleteWhat is your favorite finish :)?
ReplyDeleteI am a boring old creme polish girl! I do love a good matte every now and then :)
ReplyDeleteI freaking love your nails!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and sparkly! Looks amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteI have some really pretty multichromes from Colors by Llarowe!
ReplyDeletewow - it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is soo pretty! I am still full swing into textures and hope the trend doesn't stop any time soon :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love multichromes. For me, multichromes and holo are two best things that can happen in a polish bottle (so when they combine - count me in immediately :))
ReplyDeleteI think that last fall duochromes / holo duochromes were a huge hit, looks like almost every indie brand issued its own version of teal/blue/purple/magenta shifting polish.
Funny thing is that a Russian drugstore brand Aurelia created such a polish a long time ago (if you are interested, google "Aurelia 405 Суровая туча" - that's the polish name, meaning "Stormy cloud"), so last year Russian polish addicts just nodded to each other saying "look, another dupe of Aurelia Stormy Cloud... and another one... and yet another one!"
I love Dance Legend and ILNP, too! I think they have the most original multichrome shades.
