Swatches & Review - 6 El Corazon Prisma shades

Hi loves! Today I have 6 gorgeous shades from El Corazon to show you. These ase from the El Corazon Prisma line which means they have a lovely scattered holographic effect. On top of that, some of these also have a metallic flash to add some extra interest. I really liked the formula on these but there was one downside: the pigment that creates the metallic flash has a tendency to sink, so you might want to put these upside down before using them, to make it easier to mix them up.

Aren't sure what holographic exactly means? Check out my latest Learning the Lingo post to read all about it!

Let's talk a bit about the formula first. For my swatches I used an aqua base coat (GOSH Fix Base Coat) because on regular base coat they might be a pit patchy. Top coat wasn't needed as these dry supershiny and smooth. All but one shades was opaque in 2 easy coats, the only lacquer that needed 3 coats was El Corazon Prisma 423-40. This particular shade also has the most trouble with the sinking metallic pigment - if you don't shake it up properly you just have a silver scattered holo, but with the metallic flash mixed through it becomes a pale lavender. The brush was the same for the last 4 shades, a flat brush that isn't too wide. But in the other 2 bottles I had round brushes.. weird. The holographic effect is subtle but pretty and some of these might be conservative enough for some work environments, while still being pretty and interesting.

Ready for the individual swatches? Let's take a look!

El Corazon 423-23 is the darkest shade out of the 6. In the bottle it looks really purple, on the nails it's more of a dark charcoal taupe shade with a metallic purple flash. This one has a smaller cap and round brush.

El Corazon 423-26 is a blue shade that looks a bit periwinkle on me. It doesn't have a metallic flash it seems but the scattered holographic effect is lovely. This one has a smaller cap and round brush.

El Corazon 423-38 is a golden hue with a strong metallic golden flash. I liked this one better on the nails than in the bottle and the holographic effect is a nice twist. This one has a larger cap and a flat brush.

El Corazon 423-39 is a nice neutral shade. it's a light taupe color that looks really pretty I think. Also no metallic flash which makes it even more neutral looking! This one has a larger cap and a flat brush.

El Corazon 423-40 is a pale lavender, silver based polish. The purple/lavender flash really changes the looks of this one but also sinks to the bottom quickly. Only shade out of these 6 to need 3 coats for proper opacity. This one has a larger cap and a flat brush.
