Hi loves! Today I have something for you that's long overdue - swatches and a review of the HARE Fall 2013 collection called The Coin Operation. This 4 piece set is inspired by the coin-operated arcade & carnival games that are displayed at the Musee Mecanique in San Francisco (wish I'd known about this when we were there 2 years ago!) and all polishes are jelly bases filled with gorgeous flakies.
HARE Peepshow Magique is a soft, delicate baby pink jelly with flakies of gold and silvery white. I layered this over a base of China Glaze Something Sweet and used 2 coats of the HARE polish. It applied lovely and looks so girly!
HARE Read My Biorythm is a sage, soft green jelly with flakies of gold and silvery white. This has a lot of yellow to it though less than my pictures show - it was hard to capture. This one gave me the most issues in terms of application and flakie payoff, I used 3 thin coats over a base of H&M Mint2Be.
HARE Test Your Love is my favorite, a raspberry pink jelly with flakies of gold and silvery white. This shade of pink is perfect! Shown are 2 coats over a base of OPI Dim Sum Plum, it applied perfectly.
HARE Zoltar Speaks is a teal jelly with flakies of gold and silvery white. This somehow looks like floating seaweed in the ocean to me. It's a blue toned teal and I had some issues matching a base to it, so I used OPI Says Feng Shui. Luckily Zoltar Speaks has enough color in the base to not be affected by this ^^.
I also checked them out matte, most pictures came out rubbish but I could put together these little closeups for your viewing pleasure. So nice to see how pronounced the flakies are like this!
How do you like this 4 piece collection? And which one is your favorite? Tell me in the comments!
