Swatches & Review - Cirque Colors The Metropolis Collection

Hi loves! Today I have 3 gorgeous creme shades to show you, released by Cirque Colors. As you may know Cirque Colors is located in New York City and Annie started this new collection called The Metropolis Collection. Every month 1 or 2 creme shades will be added to this set which is part of the core collection! Each shade highlights something great from this beautiful city and I can't wait to see what other fun shades will be released over time.

My swatches are all done over a base of Cirque Colors Hold Fast Base Coat, 2 layers of color and topped with Cirque Colors Liquid Laminate Top Coat. The polish itself doen't dry particularly shiny but the top coat provides an amazing shine ^^. Also, NYFW is not color accurate but this is the best I could do. Sorry about that!

The formula on all of these is great. NYFW is the thinnest, Concrete Jungle the thickest and La Vie Boheme is right in the middle of that. They all flow nicely without pooling your cuticles and everything levels out nicely. With a layer of top coat you achieve a lovely smooth and glossy finish and these'd make great bases for glitters, nail art or just on their own!

Cirque Colors Concrete Jungle is a cool dark gray creme. It looks quite light in my pictures but remember I take them under direct artificial light. This is the perfect "in between" shade of gray and it reminds me of the sidewalks in New York ♥.

Cirque Colors La Vie Boheme is a deep plum creme. I adore this shade. Plums and berries just always look great against my skintone! The formula was most enjoyable with this one and it combines really pretty with Boudoir from The Burlesque Collection (swatches coming soon).

Cirque Colors NYFW is an ultramarine blue creme. Again, these pictures are not color accurate! I had the hardest time capturing the darkness of this shade. I did catch the vivid hue but it's a tad darker, please refer to Nail Polish Wars as Nicole did a way better job than me!

Which of these is your favorite? And how do you like the idea of an ongoing collection that gets new shades introduced monthly?
Cirque Colors is sold through their own website. Each shade from the Cirque Colors Metropolis collection retails for $13, worldwide shipping available. There are also various stockists selling Cirque polishes so be sure to check if you can shop more locally, too.

  18. I didn't wear it yet for a full mani, but I didn't have any smurf fingers after removal so it gives good hopes it doesn't stain.
