Hi guys! You know when you walk past a big display of polish in a store, knowing you have seen them all before and there is nothing left in there that you want to buy? I have that feeling most of the time with the Essence display. But a little while ago I needed a topcoat and glanced at the polishes by chance and I found a beautiful polish I had missed before: Essence Crazy Fancy Love.

At first glance it looked a bit boring under the light from the display, I guess that's why I skipped it before. But when I took it from the display and looked at it in more natural light I saw it was a beautiful subtle duochrome.
Shown here is 3 thin coats with topcoat and as you can see it shifts from a light gold to copper and back. it's quite a frosty colour, so you probably will see some strands in the shimmer when you apply it. You can see that here in the pictures too, but it was much less visible in real life.
What do you guys think? Would you give this polish a second glance when walking by? Please tell me in the comments and see you next week!
This color is pretty! Don't know if I would need to own it but I like it on you!
ReplyDeleteI was just at Ulta a couple of days ago and I looked at the essence display. How did I miss this lovely shade. Reminds me of Zoya Tinsley a bit
ReplyDeleteWOWZA! This is seriously gorgeous! I must get this! Thank you for the excellent review and gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning shade!
ReplyDeleteVery nice shift! That looks great :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely shade!
ReplyDeleteI like the word "strands" so much better than "brushstrokey" :) This is super pretty and I never met a duochrome I didn't like, even if you can see strands.
ReplyDeleteThis is like a prettier version of ChG No Plain Jane..I like it.
ReplyDeleteIts something i probably stay away from but very pretty
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, I wonder if I can buy it on the ulta website, I've got a cart full of essence growing.
ReplyDeleteI love finding Essence polishes... the price is great!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I always take a peek at the Essence polishes when I pass the display- you never know what gems you might find :D
ReplyDeleteThe shade is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHoly hell woman, this is my color!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteVery subtle duochrome but you captured it beautifully! Skills! ;)
ReplyDelete:D Thanks Emily!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Valesha!
ReplyDeleteHeh, you made me lol! Go get it!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to look at it more carefully from now on too!
ReplyDeleteYes! And they are great quality for that price as well
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling! I hope you can find it there!
ReplyDeleteI might have to take every single essence polish from the display now to look at them in normal lighting, I don't want to miss any more gems.
ReplyDeleteThe frostiness might put some people off I think
ReplyDeleteI think you might mean ChG Swanky Silk, it does look quite a lot like that one. No plain Jane is a purple duochrome
ReplyDelete:D I don't think it's quite frosty enough to be 'brushstrokey'
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it!
ReplyDeleteIt's so much prettier in real life, but most duochromes are. They are such a pain to photograph!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! What a nice thing to say!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteTaking the polishes from the display to see them in natural light really helps! I'm going to do it for every essence polish from now on I think
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThat's very pretty! I love how affordable Essence polishes are.
ReplyDeleteI love the color shift in this, perfect for fall!!!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I have so many of them! I like being able to buy a small bottle of a colour to see if it suits me, or for nail-art purposes, without having to spend a lot of money on a polish I won't wear often.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great fall colour, you're right! But it also makes me think of a warm beach in the suns glow (how poetic hah!)
