NARS Anarchy and some double stamping

Hi loves! Interrupting the giveaways (check here for the Mont Bleu giveaway and €50 Hypnotic Polish giftcard giveaway) to share a fun mani with you guys. While I was in NYC I was looking for one brand of polish in particular: NARS. I LOVE square, boxed polishes and the logo also appeals to me a lot, so I wanted to see these beauties in real life and maybe grab one or two. Well, I ended up with NARS Anarchy from the 3.1 Philip Lim collection and couldn't be happier with my choice!

NARS Anarchy is pale beige with a strong yellow tint to it. I really like how unique but wearable this shade is! The formula was okay, it needed 3 coats for proper opacity and the only thing I do not like about NARS polishes is the brush - it's the thick, rounded at the bottom kind of brush. This is usually too big for my nails so it made application a bit more troublesome.

After I did 3 coats of NARS Anarchy and let it dry a bit, I used MoYou London Pro XL 06 and a white and black stamping polish. Holding the image in one direction, I first stamped a round of white. Then, I rotated the image 180° and did the same routine but with black. This way the first image peeked through the second stamped layer and created a bit more visual interest.

The flowery stamp from this MoYou plate is one of my favorites and again it has proven itself as versatile and very very pretty.

Love this plate, too. I already used it many times and surely will go on.

  25. It's all in the materials you use, really! Using a soft stamper makes it so much more easy than using a hard one like the Konad original. And good plates help too :).

  27. Aww, it just takes some practice, I promise! And a good squishy stamper was of help too.

  29. Thanks Liesl, the shade is unusual enough to stand out but neutral enough to not hide the stamping :).
