Polish My Life Birthday Suit and She Sells Seashells chevron nail art

Hi loves! When I tried Polish My Life Cloud Blue, I was so amazed with the formula I felt the urge to try the others soon as well. So, yesterday I decided to do some fun nail art using Polish My Life Birthday Suit! And, to make it more Fall appropriate I combined it with OPI A Woman's Prague-ative.

Let's take a look!

Like I said, Polish My Life Cloud Blue had an amazing formula and this beauty was no exception. Self leveling, opaque in 2 coats and not streaky or patchy at all. I think I waited for about 45 minutes before I used the vinyls, and it was slightly affected by them but topcoat smoothed everything again. What I really like about this is the off white hint to it, making it less stark and more easy to wear.

She Sells Seashells is an online stockist that sells a variety of vinyls, decals, studs and many more fun nail art products. For this look I used the thicker chevrons from the variety pack. Before putting them on the basecolor I made them slightly less sticky by pressing it on my hand. Using tweezers I placed them where I wanted and smoothed them down using an orange wood stick. The material is quite sturdy but flexible, making it easy to replace them if needed without the stickers tearing or getting distorted in any way.

The shade I chose as an accent is OPI A Woman's Prague-ative, a lovely orange/copper shimmer shade that looked great against the creme base. It looks a bit more sheer in my pictures but in real life it was just sparkly goodness!

How do you feel about this look? Have you ever used vinyls for nail art? Tell me in the comments!

  1. Oh these are beautiful! I'm so happy you love your PML polishes. Birthday Suit is one of my favourites too, it totally beats OPI MVIB for me (I said it!!!).

  7. This is asuch a pretty combo! I have that OPI but I felt like I couldn't do anything exciting with it - you proved me wrong for sure. I love how neat your lines are, nail vinyls definitely give me trouble but you've done it flawlessly!

  8. Haha I can see why you like it better formula wise, but I still love MVIB because it's a bit more off white than this one. I do have a Nude Lace could fill that gap, though...

  14. It even works wonders for leopard spots and such, it's more opaque in nail art than regular use it seems. The vinyls had a bit of a learning curve for me but using them over topcoat helps, as well as getting rid of some stickiness by putting them on your hand first.
