Swatches & Review - Cirque Colors Live It Up collection

Hi loves! Last week I had the pleasure of doing a joined post with the talented Emily from Very Emily, and this week we are at it again ^^. This time we are sharing the brand new Cirque Colors Live It Up collection. Inspired by holiday celebrations and classic dance hits, this 5 piece glitter collection will sparkle and shine on your tips. Including 8 Crazy Nights (limited edition, a stunning number made with varying shades of blue and holographic silver glitters), 1999 (a glitzy topcoat made with soft white and holographic silver glitters), Holo-Day Cheer (limited edition, made with red, green, gold and silver glitters), Let's Dance (a rainbow confetti made with colorful metallic-finished glitter looking like little jewels on your nails) and finally One More Time (a fun take on the regular black & white topper, made with a bold combination of black, white and gray glitters).

Like I said, Emily from Very Emily is posting the same review, so make you sure you check out hers as well!

Both 8 Crazy Nights and Holo-day Cheer are limited edition, for each bottle of these sold 20% of net proceeds will be donated to City Harvest: a food rescue organization dedicated to helping feed the nearly 1.5 million New Yorkers facing hunger.
I decided to show all of these shades over matching creme bases, all part of Cirque's collection. This way you can easily grab a set you like and you don't have to wonder about finding a good basecolor for it ^^. All the glitters are 1 coat over their matching base and topped with Cirque Colors Liquid Laminate topcoat for a shiny and smooth finish.

Cirque Colors 8 Crazy Nights is shown over Cirque Colors Memento Mori. Made with varying shades of blue and holographic silver glitters, this is a really fun and bright combination. The matte blue glitter is so pretty! I spy 2 sizes of square glitter among hexagonal glitter in both silver and gold holographic finish, also in varying sizes. It applied easy and I didn't have to manipulate it very much.

Cirque Colors 1999 is shown over Cirque Colors Concrete Jungle. Made with soft white and holographic silver glitters, this reminds me of winter! There's a sprinkle of tiny holographic in it, as well as holographic triangles and stars (although they are very sparse), square and hexagonal glitter. I wish the triangles and stars were easier to get on the nail, I could barely get these out of the bottle. More of a dabbed application here.

Cirque Colors Holo-Day Cheer is shown over Cirque Colors Carpe Diem. Made with red, green, gold and silver glitters, this is your ultimate Christmas shade! Filled with hexagonal glitters in varying sizes along with triangle glitter, again the triangle glitter didn't come out easily. I had to fish for these few pieces. Also, more dabbed than brushed on.

Cirque Colors Let's Dance is shown over Cirque Colors La Vie Boheme. Made with colorful metallic-finished glitter, these jeweltoned colors are so rich looking! Its also more dense than the others, so I could just brush it on instead of dabbing it. You can find both hexagonal and square glitter in various sizes in this beauty.

Cirque Colors One More Time is shown over Cirque Colors NYFW. Made with a bold combination of black, white and gray glitters, this is a lovely variation on the black & white toppers out there. Among the bar glitter, squares and hexagonal pieces you can also find some star shaped glitters. It applied easily, no dabbing required.

Overall, this collection is made up of some gorgeous combinations and unique glitters. There's something in it for everyone I think! My favorites are One More Time and Let's Dance because of their wearability, but Holo-Day Cheer is the perfect addition for the Christmas days. And who can deny the gorgeousness of the blue matte glitter in 8 Crazy Nights? Lovely!

Which shade sparks your interest? And do you like the basecolors I chose for these or would you go with something different? Tell me in the comments!
Cirque Colors is sold through their own website. The Cirque Colors Live It Up collection retails for $13 per bottle, worldwide shipping available. There are also various stockists selling Cirque polishes so be sure to check if you can shop more locally, too.

Remember both 8 Crazy Nights and Holo-day Cheer are limited edition and for each bottle of these sold 20% of net proceeds will be donated to City Harvest.

I need to get 8 Crazy Nights (how often is there a Hanukah-themed polish?) and Holo-Day Cheer. And it's great that they're supporting City Harvest

I love 1999, but it could be because of the grey you used (I'm a total sucker for grey polish!) I think that would amazing matte too.

  19. Yeah I actually wanted to mattify them, but it turned out my matte topcoat has become so thick, there are these small white pigment flecks in it, so I couldn't use it :(.
