Swatches & Review - Cirque Colors Mirror Mirror

Hi loves! Today I have a stunning polish to show you, it's called Cirque Colors Mirror Mirror. It's a special edition polish that's actually sold out already at the moment, but it's planned to be restocked late November. What makes this so special, is that it actually consists of pure silver-coated flakies

Curious? Can you handle a ton of pictures? Read on for more information!
Just in time for the holidays, Cirque Colors released some amazing new products. Among them is Cirque Colors Mirror Mirror, and the name is really fitting. Because this polish consists of pure silver-coated flakies in a clear base, you end up with nails that look like a mosaic mirror. It's highly reflective and sparkly and surely will catch attention when the light emphasizes the beautiful finish!

The formula a bit tricky - it's quite thick and since you don't want to end up with silver flakes on your cuticles (this does NOT clean up nicely) you'll have to take your time. But, when you apply with care it's opaque in 2 coats. Bonus: the silver-coated flakies do not stick up and with some extra patience you can even wrap your tips with them.

I topped this look with a coat of Cirque Colors Liquid Laminate. Using topcoat does not dull the effect in any way. Better yet, it only provides more shine and sparkle! In these macro's it sometimes might look like there are sparse patches, but that's totally to blame on the macro setting of my camera. In real life, you can barely even see any bald patches after the first coat since it's SO reflective. Oh, one downside? After removing this you'll look like either Edward or Bella standing in the sun. That's right, a sparkly Twilight vampire!

Along with Cirque Colors Mirror Mirror, the gold leaf topper Au was released again as well. If you are looking for a gorgeous, luxurious and perfect (Christmas) gift, you can buy a set of Au and Mirror Mirror for just $45 (instead of the $58 value!).

Overall, I think this polish is really gorgeous and would make a great addition to any polish lovers stash. It's quite unique and just feels so luxurious!

  15. I bet Mirror Mirror would look great as a glitter gradient. For me it's a bit too bling to wear on it's own.

  19. Amazing right? It really looks almost opaque in 1 coat because of the reflective surface, but pictures are always so unforgiving of each little patch..

  21. Oooh, so exciting! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Yes, glue base sounds like a great idea, though a good hand wash took care of it as well :).
