Swatches & Review - Cirque Colors Knickerbocker

Hi loves! Today I have the newest addition to the Cirque Colors Metropolis collection to show you. This collection is an ongoing thing, with 1 or 2 creme shades added each month. If you want to see the previous releases, please check this post. Each shade is inspired by something related to New York, the city where this brand comes from.

The newest release is called Cirque Knickerbocker and the inspiration comes from the Dutch settlers that came to the New World. Wearing pants that were rolled up to just below the knee, these were called knickerbockers or knicks, thus being connected to New York forever. Extra fun fact: there is a great show called The Knick and it's all about a hospital in the early 20th century in NYC. Must see!

Formula wise this polish applied nicely, a creamy consistency that's opaque in 2 coats. On me it dried down a bit satin so I'd say top coat is a must, but for me it always is a must so.. Because I'm not to keen on brown as a polish shade, I decided to jazz it up a bit with some dots. Using H&M Cleopatra Gold and Polish My Life Birthday Suit I created a fun pattern alongside my nails.

  1. Looks gorgeous! I find a brown quite tricky to wear on its own too so I love that you added some detail!

  2. Ooohhh... nice!!!
I would definitely wear this, especially with lighter dots like you did.

Do you happen to have Zoya Louise to compare this one with?
*keeps fingers crossed they are dupes so she can maybe save enough to NOT eat peanut butter for another month... although there are new OPIs and new a-englands and new Zoyas and...*
