Swatches & Review - 4 shades from the new F.U.N Lacquer Christmas 2014 collection

Hi loves! Sooo.. yesterday Emily from Very Emily and I posted the same thing, turns out that we both planned about the same thing for today as well :D. She had the honor of swatching the 4 multichromes part of the F.U.N Lacquer Christmas 2014 collection, and I was sent the 4 glitters. This means that if you are curious to the other half, you can just swing by Em's and see the rest! *hint* she's always awesome in capturing multichromes ♥.

Now, for today's post I got 4 beautiful glitters to show you - Mistletoe Kiss, a limegreen glitter with holographic sparkle; Mistletoe Kiss (H), a softer limegreen glitter with added holographic finish; Royal Chapel, a burnt copper glitter with holographic sparkle and finally Royal Chapel (H), a softer burnt copper with added holographic finish.

All swatches are done without undies, these are full coverage glitters. I used a matte basecoat to give some more grip to the glitter and finished with Essence Better Than Gel Top Sealer.

F.U.N Lacquer Mistletoe Kiss is a limegreen glitter that covers fully in 3 coats. It's very very sparkly and a very unique shade for a glitter I think. I like that the glitter is a bit more chunky but still covers.

F.U.N Lacquer Mistletoe Kiss (H) is the holographic version and has smaller glitter than the original one. It also covers in 2 coats, instead of 3. I think that's also because of the holographic pigment that's added, it keeps the glitter more together? If you think the regular Mistletoe Kiss is a bit too much, this might be perfect for you.

F.U.N Lacquer Royal Chapel is a burnt copper glitter that covers in 3 coats as well. This also has more chunky glitter and I absolutely adore the shade. It's so pretty!

F.U.N Lacquer Royal Chapel (H) is the holographic version and again has smaller glitter than the original. It covers in 2 coats and has the same gorgeous warm color, but more subdued and laid back. The holographic finish is really pretty!

What a gorgeous glitters! Even though you need to build up the regular version with 3 coats, application was good on all of them. Brush down your first coat regularly, dab a bit with the second to fill the biggest gaps and you can finish with a thin 3rd coat. The holo versions are fun variations on the colors and apply a bit more easy because of the smaller glitter. It all depends on your preference!

If you had to choose one out of these 4, which would it be? Tell me in the comments!

  30. I preferred the holo versions of the multichromes on Very Emily, but I prefer the non-holo versions of these - they have more colour. If I chose one it'd be Mistletoe Kiss :)

  31. You are definitelyy right Kerry. The holo versions are a bit more smooth and therefore easier to paint on and wear, but the regular versions pack a punch color wise :).
