Rescue Beauty Lounge Small, Dim, Summer Stars

Hi loves! About a week ago I showed you a shade from Rescue Beauty Lounge called Réveillon. Now this was just one out of 3 shades I bought during a sale, and this time I am showing the second shade! Rescue Beauty Lounge Small, Dim, Summer Stars was released as part of A Poem Collection, inspired by the work of poet Robert Frost.

Curious to see more?

Rescue Beauty Lounge Small, Dim, Summer Stars has a black jelly base that becomes opaque with 2 smooth coats. It's filled with various shades of irregular shaped shimmer, almost teeny tiny flakies it seems. They create a smooth surface that somehow reminds of a reptile's skin.

What I really like about this shade is that it's dark, it's bold, but the shimmer gives it something delicate in finish. The formula was lovely, opaque in 2 coats and it dried to a smooth surface. I did use topcoat to lighten up the shimmer a bit and provide a glassy finish.

If you are looking to purchase some RBL shades yourself, you might want to take advantage of the giftcard sale that's coming up. Starting December 8th, ALL giftcards are 30% off. So basically you get a 30% discount, you just have to purchase a giftcard first. They come in a variety of values which you can check here.

How do you feel about this shade? Tell me in the comments!

  4. Love this! Dark but the shimmer is very noticeable. I haven't been buying much polish lately but RBL sales are my one weakness. :)

Gorgeous shade! I like that it's plenty deep and dark, but that the shimmer isn't too hidden.

  19. I love the detail on them, and because they are so thin it's easy to bend them a bit so they fit well.

  20. Thanks Jenny! Maybe I just have to try it a few times. How do you get rid of the excess water?

  25. Thanks so much Simona! I think key is trimming them really well so they aren't all the way up to the sides.

  29. I use a paper towel and sort of lightly dab the nail to soak up the water. It seems to work pretty well!
