Swatches & Review - F.U.N Lacquer New Year 2015

Hi loves! Today I have a massive picture spam post to share with you. I recently swatched the entire new F.U.N Lacquer New Year 2015 collection, which consists of 8 shades. There are 4 duo's actually, all multichromes with a sister shade that has holographic sparkles added. The pre-sale already finished for the collection but the official release will be somewhere mid January, so keep an eye out for these if you like them!

Ready to see massive picture spam? Buckle up!
Regarding the swatches: all original versions of the colors are 3 coats, no topcoat. I used 1 coat of the holographic version over the originals, again no topcoat. My base is Duri Rejuvacote.

F.U.N Lacquer Blessing

F.U.N Lacquer Blessing is the most multichrome of all. I can't even begin to describe the shades you can find in this gem, but they include magenta, purple, blue, green and teal. It's a real shade shifter! It was quite sheer on the first 2 coats but the third evened out everything. It's not brush stroky, so that's really nice.

F.U.N Lacquer Blessing (H) is the holographic equivalent to the polish above. The holographic sparkle adds a fun dimension to this shade! Even though I layered this one over the "regular" Blessing, swatches on my nailwheel showed this one needs 3 coats as well.

F.U.N Lacquer Burnin' Up

F.U.N Lacquer Burnin' Up

F.U.N Lacquer Burnin' Up is a very warm shade. It has copper and pink to it as well as a reddish flash and some green. This is like fall leaves in a bottle! It was also the most opaque, I think 2 coats might have been good as well. Brush strokes are quite visible with this shade though I don't mind. It's too pretty!

F.U.N Lacquer Burnin' Up (H) has again the fun addition of holographic sparkles, this one also could do in 2 coats by itself.

F.U.N Lacquer Celebrate

F.U.N Lacquer Celebrate is quite warm in tone as well. Red toned purple, copper, flashes of green and gold, even this muted mauve shade that pops up. Really lovely! And just look at that close-up... so much to see ♥ *swoons*. This one was more opaque but still needed the 3 coats to be sure there were no bald spots.

F.U.N Lacquer Celebrate (H) has the same warm tone but with holographic sparkles. I think I like those best in this particular shade!

F.U.N Lacquer Reunion

F.U.N Lacquer Reunion is a cooler toned multichrome that also flashes purple, but more bluebased. It was the hardest for me to capture but trust me: there's magenta, icy blue and a lot of other shades hidden in this beauty! 3 coats were definitely needed for opacity.

F.U.N Lacquer Reunion (H) is the holographic sister of the shade shown above and again, it looks really nice against the moody base!

Overall, I really liked this collection. Multichromes are always fun and these definitely show a great colorshift. Even though they colors were a bit thin, the formula was pleasant to work with and the polish dried smooth and quickly. My top picks are Blessing, Burnin' Up and Celebrate (H).

I'd love to hear which shades you'd pick! Tell me in the comments!

  14. Wow! Your pics are to die for!! I'm such a sucker for multichromes and holo multichromes! I have a ton of the ILNP versions, but I love how the F.U.N Lacquer holo multichromes have a golden holo glitter feel to it! Very beautiful :)
