Splatter Manicure with A-England Galahad

Hi guys! today I've got one of my favourite nailart techniques for you. I use this technique quite often, but mostly for just an accent nail or skittlette. During my Shimmer polish swachathon a while ago, I did one of these skittlettes with Shimmer Jenny. For my pinky nail I did a splatter art and I loved the colour combination so much I took a mentally note of it to do a full manicure with sometime. So that is what I got for you today!

Wanna see?
The base for this manicure is the lovely A-England polish Galahad. This polish is a must have in my book, its just so perfect. Lovely colour and great application! For the splatters I used China glaze Passion and P2 Call me.

When doing a splatter manicure it's best not to use a very long straw but to cut a bit shorter (about 6cm is nice). It's also wise to put down some paper towels and maybe put some tape or crème on your fingers so you don't make a big mess everywhere!

I hope you guys like this manicure and see you next week!

  13. Beautiful!! I love splatter manis, and this color combo looks great. I've always had difficulty with splatter - I'll have to try cutting the straw shorter!

  14. This turned out really nice. The one time I tried this technique it was a disaster. The polish seem to go all over my cuticles and if it did land on my nails it all went into the same spot.

  17. Thank you!
Try using a shorter straw and make sure you don't pick up too much polish. It's better to apply extra after instead of having too much. Also make sure to push out your breath in a small sharp burst. Hope that helps!

  22. It's really easy! Just use a straw to pick up some polish and blow through it!

  25. Thanks Nicole!
Also make sure to blow on the straw in a short, sharp burst.

  26. If you try again, try to angle your nails so the straw hovers over an empty spot. And you can try to put tape or some nice thick cream on your cuticles to contain the mess!
