Swatches & Review - 2 Dance Legend Las Vegas shades

Hi loves! Last week I showed you 2 lovely Dance Legend shades, and asked if you'd like a weekly Dance Legend post. Well you agreed, so here I am :D! This week I am showing you shades from the Dance Legend Las Vegas range. It's a 12 piece collection full of glitters, and the caps have that fun led light some of the collections have. The names are based on Las Vegas hotels, how fun is that?

Both shades are layered over a creme base, mostly because I like to have something on my nail as guidance for the glitter. The cremes are both from the Dance Legend Binary range which I'l be reviewing later on.

Dance Legend Circus Circus has a transparent base filled with rainbow glitter in various sizes, along with holographic glitter. Fun fact: I once visited Circus Circus :D! I remember being very amazed at the fact they have a rollercoaster inside the hotel. Double loops and all! This shade was layered over a blue creme base (Dance Legend Alexandra) and I really liked how it highlighted the copper in the mix. I used 2 coats and didn't use topcoat, because I also wanted to mattify it ^^.

Dance Legend NY NY also has a transparent base, but the glitter is finer and also just one size. I think this will be opaque in 3 coats though you can also layer it over a basecolor to transform the color a bit. The colors are just mesmerizing beautiful.. pops of purple against a green, blue and golden mix. I layered this beauty over a mint creme base (Dance Legend Olga) and it was a glorious match, But, it also looks perfect over teal! Again, 2 coats layered and no topcoat since I mattified it.

Overall conclusion
While I wasn't too fond of most of the shades from the 12 piece set, I do LOVE my picks. Especially Dance Legend NY NY, you'll definitely see more of that beauty in the future! The formula is good, it spreads easily and doesn't clump, and the amount of glitter is perfect so you can wear them either opaque or as an accent, it's your choice.

What do you think of these 2 shades? And which one would be your pick? Tell me in the comments!
Dance Legend is sold through their own webshop. Dance Legend Las Vegas shades come in 15 ml. bottles and retail for $9. Shipping worldwide is $10 and free if you order over 10 bottles.

There are also a few retailers listed on their website if you prefer shopping with a more local webshop. Hypnotic Polish is one of them and is based in The Netherlands. You can also find Dance Legend on Facebook and Instagram.

  3. Those were the two I really liked from the set and now I especially need to grab Circus Circus! Haha...Deborah I'm so glad that someone besides me likes to put on a base under their glitters...even if that's not necessarily how they were "meant" to be worn. I'm just like you...I like a guide for my glitter! <3

Yes!! More sparkles!! I love a glitter that doesn't lump up on me when I apply it. I like my Dance Legends and it stinks these are the only two that you liked, but I am glad that you showed me your faves. Thanks for steering me in the right direction!!

  31. Your blurry glitter shots are mesmerizing!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I can see why! How do you wear them? Build up or layered?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yes! Something that will give you a neat line along the cuticle, sometimes the glitter just won't sit how I like it and using a base helps with that.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thank you Kelli! It appears to be slightly textured though it dries quite smooth. I like the look without topcoat!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Maybe I'd like the others as well in real life, glitters are one of the most though finishes to capture in pictures. Most of the times I love them more in real life!

  36. Thank you! Next week it won't be on Tuesday but Wednesday instead, but I'm again showing some fun shades :).

  37. There are SO many beauties to choose from, I can see why it feels overwhelming. If it's your first experience with them, just try a bit of everything. If you hit the Dance Legend tag underneath my post it'll show you every post I've ever done with them, that might help :).

  38. Thanks so much Liesl! They are such fun shades and I promise they are even better in real life!

    ReplyDelete
  39. ♥ thank you! Which one do you have laying around :)?

    ReplyDelete
  40. YES that's what I was thinking too, or rather do a tape mani with a teal creme base and the layer NY NY over that!

    ReplyDelete
  41. There are soooo many polishes I love but know I don't wear myself - you can always admire from afar!

    ReplyDelete
  42. You haven't yet?! They are such a fun brand, I can really recommend them :). NY NY would be a great first pick ;).

    ReplyDelete
  50. Thank you Joyce! It's really fine milled so even when you aren't a big glitter fan, I think this might work for you :)/
