Whisked away nailart using OPI Miss Universe shades

Hi loves! Today I have some fun and easy nailart to show you, that immediately makes your stamped look go from yay to WOW! Well, at least I like to think so ;-). All you need besides the regular items for a stampicure is a fan brush and an accent color.

Want to hear more about this?
The idea popped in my head when I was scrolling through my Bloglovin' feed while thinking of something to put on my nails, and I saw this look by Chalkboard Nails. Nope, it doesn't look similar to what I did, but the motion in the art reminded me of my fan brush and so I decided to use that again.

My base is 1 careful coat of OPI Miss You-niverse. This creamy purple is such a stunner! And yes, coverage is amazing too - I'm curious if it stamps as well? After it dried, I put a drop of OPI I'm Feeling Sashy on a turned over stamping plate (one that doesn't have any cardboard or anything) and grabbed my fan brush. If you carefully dip the tips of the brush into the polish and then drag ik across your nail, you get this lovely scratchy effect. I dragged from both left and right so it covered all of my nail, and then went back in with a tiny bit of OPI Miss You-niverse to make the finish a bit more "mixed".

To finish it off, I grabbed my favorite plate which is MoYou London Pro XL 06 and used Essie Penny Talk (yup, I finally grabbed it ;-)) to stamp! The result is a stampicure that from a distance looks like just a metallic image over a dark base, but upon closer inspection you'll notice the background and for me it looks very pretty!

  3. I *have* a fan brush but the mani's I've attempted with it have never made the light of day. That skill is not in my toolbox. But I LOVE this look!

  7. Aww, no they are not! I've been annoyed with them lately actually, but I think I see more than most readers :P. Something with being too hard on myself maybe..
