Hi loves! Another Friday, another review of Colors by Llarowe shades. This is the last set actually but I'm closing off with 2 stunners. You'll be seeing both Colors by Llarowe Independence Day and Colors by Llarowe Obsessed with Marilyn. Prepare yourselves for some serious drooling! And after you're done with that, visit Hypnotic Polish to score these beauties ^^.
Ready? Set, GO!
Colors by Llarowe Independence Day is a jelly royal blue shade filled with holographic sparkles. Even though it sometimes looks like a linear holo, it's actually scattered - but oh so sparkly! I used 3 coats for opacity since it starts out slightly sheer. It also dries dull, topcoat really brings it to life again!
Colors by Llarowe Obsessed With Marilyn is a deep dark cranberry shade of red, filled with holographic goodness. The formula is very nice, opaque in 2 coats and drying very smooth. The holographic effect is strong though full rainbow flares are always difficult with red shades somehow. I used topcoat in my swatches.
Wow, I honestly can't say which shade I like best! I can see Independence Day used as a base for stamping, and Obsessed With Marilyn is the perfect red to compliment a black dress. Formula was good on both, and I didn't have any trouble with staining or removing, but I'd wear a double layer of basecoat to be sure.
Which one of these is your favorite? Tell me in the comments!
