Hi loves! Sorry for doing Dance Legend Wednesday instead of Tuesday this week, but luckily these fun shades will brighten your mood anyway ;-). It's all about the Malibu collection this week, which consist of 8 shades in total. I have 2 of them to show you!
I swatched both shades in 2 coats and over a base of Duri Rejuvacote, topped with Essence Gel-look topcoat (which is kinda thick, the polishes needed something to be smoothed out).
Dance Legend Malibu Baywatch is a sweet pink shade, filled with tiny neon pink glitter, yellow squares and purple hex glitter. This looks like candy on your nails! As I said, I used 2 coats and while there is a certain squishy finish to them, the opacity was impressive. The glitter doesn't clump and application was easy.
Dance Legend Malibu Humaliwo is a soft minty shade filled with both small and medium neon green and purple hex glitter. The experience with this shade was really similar to Baywatch, easy formula that covers remarkably well for the squishy finish it has. Both shades really do need a thicker topcoat though!
Overall conclusion
These type of polishes usually aren't what I reach for, but their candy like appearance is a nice break from all the dark and vampy shades I wear in the colder months. Formula was good, though the first layer may seem a bit uneven, and the opacity is great consider these are jellylike in finish. My favorite is Baywatch - the pop of yellow glitter is just adorable!
Which of these 2 would you pick? Tell me in the comments!
Dance Legend is sold through their own webshop. Dance Legend Malibu shades come in 15 ml. bottles and retail for $9. Shipping worldwide is $10 and free if you order over 10 bottles.
There are also a few retailers listed on their website if you prefer shopping with a more local webshop. Hypnotic Polish is one of them and is based in The Netherlands. You can also find Dance Legend on Facebook and Instagram.
I love these! Very cute <3
ReplyDeleteI love both of them! That mint green though! Mmmm...
ReplyDeleteOhw wat zijn ze LEUK! Dol op mint dus die zou ik zeker kiezen :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are incredibly cute! I really like them matte.
ReplyDeleteMalibu is everything I love! Yes, come to mama! :D
ReplyDeleteHumaliwo is so pretty! It looks like squishy minty jelly, rather like one of those squeezy balls that help exercise the finger joints. $10 isn't bad at all for worldwide shipping. Very tempting - I have to check out their webshop.
ReplyDeleteBoth shades look amazing on you.
ReplyDeleteI'm not into glitter anything, really, myself, but I agree, once in a while it's fun to rock something really different-- and you indeed rock these :) That super thick topcoat makes these look perfectly smooth! I love the mint base of Humaliwo.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to pick, it would be Humaliwo. Even if I can't say the name. Green isn't always something I reach for, but this minty color makes me dying for Spring!
ReplyDeleteThe polishes aren't my sort of thing but your swatches are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese polishes definitely herald Spring! Like candy sprinkles on your nails.
ReplyDeletePretty pastels! Love them matted.
ReplyDeleteThey are soo pretty! I can't pick one! Even nicer mattified! And I still want your nails so badly! :D

ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful and while I love pink... that minty shade is my fav
ReplyDeleteOhh, these are adorable!! They remind me of those Robins Egg candies during Easter!
ReplyDeleteThe matte!! Yes please! Light pink isn't great on me so I would reach for the minty goodness...I love the colors of the glitters in the mint! Beautiful swatches!
ReplyDeleteI'm such a sucker for mints, loving Malibu!
ReplyDeleteMalibu Humaliwo is so pretty! I especially love it matted!
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't think I've ever seen a Dance Legend polish I haven't loved. Out of these, I'd pick the green!
ReplyDeleteI'm not usually a fan of glitters like this but your nails/swatches make everything look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I love both of them! They aren't my usual taste!

ReplyDeleteThanks Liesl! I love glitters but because I change my polish daily I usually end up not wearing them, because of removal. Oh well, at least we have the pictures :D
