Hi loves! Today I have a very large and fun post to share with you, including a giveaway of the gorgeous shades I'm reviewing! It's the Lacquester Pornflakes collection, consisting of 4 metallic flakie toppers that shift all kinds of gorgeous colors. Truth be told, these are my first and only metallic flakie polishes but I really really like them! They prove to be very versatile and eyecatching.
Grab a napkin, you'll need it ^^. And if you can't wait, the giveaway is at the end of the post ;-).
The formulation on all of these is the same, except for the size of the flakies. So I won't be going in depth on formulations with each shade, just check out the overall conclusion at the end!
Lacquester Boulevard of Broken Dreams is a medium sized flakie, flashing purple, blue, magenta and a lot of shades in between. I used 2 coats over Kaleidoscope 119B, a minty creme shade. It's quite sparsely covering though over black (shown at the end) it's more covering.
Lacquester Greeench is a medium sized flakie, flashing green and blue and some shades in between. I used 2 coats over Sinful Colors Blue Crushin'. It isn't superdense nor sparse, leaving enough of the basecolor to make fun combo's but in more dim lighting, you have this lovely multichrome metallic finish.
Lacquester One Night in Bangkok is a small sized flakie, flashing purple just as Boulevard of Broken Dreams but this one's warmer in finish, it also flashes reddish and orange tones. I used 2 coats over a england Camelot. It's quite dense because of the small flakes.
Lacquester Speechless might be my favorite. It's a medium size flakie, the most sparse in appearance. I used 2 coats over El Corazon Cream 423/264 - the pink that appears in Speechless looked gorgeous against the creme base! You can see a whole lot of colors in Speechless - green, copper, pink, orange.. it's mesmerizing ♥.
Overall conclusion
These are all STUNNING. Application is perfect, the flakies spread out nicely and don't clump, the clear base isn't too thick nor thin, and the finish is supersmooth. You do need a topcoat as it dries a bit dull, but I use one always anyway. Removal isn't an issue either!
Over black the colorshift really pops, but I like how you can see the shape of the flakie on lighter colored bases. The opaque flakies stand out against anything and I'll have a lot more fun layering these - maybe do a jelly sandwich with a sheer white?
What do you think of these shades? Which one would be your pick and how would you layer it? Tell me in the comments!

My favourite is One Night in Bangkok (tho Boulevard of Broken Dreams is close second!) I would probably layer over something dark, maybe a vampy blackish red.
ReplyDeleteBoulevard of Broken Dreams is fabulous i would probably just keep layering this colour as its lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI love them all!!! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteAwww...just realized that Instagram is a mandatory, and I don't have an IG profile. Any chance you'd take a different social media follow? And your swatches are gorgeous! I love that you showed how they look over a few different colors.
ReplyDeleteI loooooove the Boulevard of Broken Dreams! I would paint a black background, and use a sponge to sponge the polish on to make it completely opaque. The shift is insane when these polishes are opaque...:)
ReplyDeleteOooh these are so fun! I really like the mani you did with Greeench!
ReplyDeleteWow, Greeeench and Bangkok are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThey're all awesome - I like them best over darker colours though.
ReplyDeleteI love them all.. As A Top Coat!
ReplyDeleteIt did, thanks! That was awesome of you. I don't have any flakies like these yet, so I think I'd start by layering Boulevard of Broken Dreams over a deep purple, like Julep Padma.
ReplyDeleteOh the drool over these swatches!! Thanks for the napkin tip ;)
ReplyDeleteThe name on the collection says it all and couldn't actually be more accurate! Such awe-mazing polishes!!
I'd definitely go with Greeench for no other reason than the fact that I really love greens and this one's a stunner!
One Night in Bangcock is freakin gorgeous!! Love this whole collection! Gahhhh!
ReplyDeleteWhat an accurate collection name! Lol Greeench is my favorite, especially over black. :)
ReplyDeletei would love these over navy

ReplyDeleteYup, Speechless is my fave too, and that pairing is perfection!
ReplyDeleteFlawless swatches!!! I love Greeench but your pairing with Speechless is just INCREDIBLE!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite might be One Night in Bangkok... but I don't want to pick because the others are just gorgeous too! (Or maybe my fave is Greeench? :-P)
ReplyDeleteGreeench is my absolute favorite *drool*
ReplyDeleteOne Night in Bangkok layered over black! These are gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteWow...talk about a gorgeous, sparkly post! Your swatches are just flawless!
ReplyDeleteLacquester Greeench is beautiful and reminds me of a mermaid haha. Gorgeous swatches!
ReplyDeleteAs you might know I am no fan of flakies but I would want one only for the collection's name. How pervert am I?!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! Love Speechless!
I love Boulevard of Broken Dreams the most - I'd probably layer it over a dark blue :) But I love all the layering combinations you made! I would never have thought to pair Speechless with pink but it's stunning!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh thanks for this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI think Speechless is also my favourite, and I'd love to see it over black or purple... <3
Speechless over black! Or as a matte jelly sandwich!
ReplyDeleteI love them all! So beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteOhh I love them all, but One Night in Bangkok is my fav. And I would definitely layer over black. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is One Night In Bangkok and I would layervit over Revlon Urban. :-) Beautiful swatches and thank you for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI like all of them, but I like all the different color shifts of Speechless. I would try layering over all kinds of colors like black, white, grey, red, purple, and blue. There are so many possibilities!
ReplyDeleteI love them all but if push came to shove I would go for Boulevard of Broken Dreams. I like flakies layered over black, maybe with a matte topcoat.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, especially Speechless!
