Teal and Blue Distressed Nails

Hi guys! I've been having trouble deciding what to do for my manicures lately. So I thought, why not try some new techniques I haven't used before? I did some picture searching and my eye fell on the distressed nails technique. Now this isn't new altogether, Deborah has shown it to you before, but I've never done it myself, so I thought I would give it a try!
Squeeee! This is so awesome :D This is so easy to do and I absolutely adore how it turned out!
For those of you who don't know how to do this, a quick explanation: You start with a white base (to make the colours you will be using more vibrant) and then you take a 3 or 4 (or more, it's up to you) colours and wipe off your brush until there is almost no polish left. Then you gently drag the 'clean' brush over your nails and it will leave patches of colour. Do this for all of your colours and then again with black, topcoat and voilà! Its so easy and it looks great!

These were the polishes I used: OPI Alpine snow (white), P2 Dangerous (teal), Urban outfitters Dreamy (light blue), Kiko 342 Sea green (turquoise), Kiko 296 Meadow green (green) and Wet 'n wild Black crème (black).

What do you guys think? Do you like it? Have you done this before?

  9. I've only tried this technique one time and it didn't come out as awesome as this. I love the colors that you used, they look so bright even with the black on top. I could totally see this as a pendant.
