Swatches & Review - 5 shades from the Glam Polish Cast a Spell III: The White Witch collection

Hi loves! Today I have 5 gorgeous shades to show you, I switched with Manon so you can drool over these shades and prepare your purchase - they are releasing March 4th 5PM EST. Please excuse the redness on my ringfinger, it seems my cuticle has a slight infection going on.

If the Cast a Spell collection sounds familiar, that might be because 2 series were released earlier! I don't have any from Cast a Spell I, but if you want to check out some shades from Cast a Spell II, you can see them here. But now, let's take a look at the Glam Polish Cast a Spell III: The White Witch collection! Shown here are 5 out of 9 shades.

Yup.. that looks promising huh?

Glam Polish Charmed is a rose sparkling pastel holo shade. This can look both pink and more purple depending on your skintone and lighting. Heavenly formula, 2 thin coats were all I needed. Topped with topcoat for a smooth result.

Glam Polish Cast a Spell III Hypnotize

Glam Polish Hypnotize is a sea foam green sparkling pastel holo shade. I absolutely adore this shade of green, it's perfect for Spring and it combines so well with the glitter and holographic effect! It had the thickest formula, one coat already looks almost opaque. I used 2 and finished off with topcoat to smooth out.

Glam Polish Cast a Spell III Mesmerize

Glam Polish Mesmerize is a lavender sparkling pastel holo shade. Mmmm, isn't this a beautiful shade of lavender?! Again, lovely formula, 2 coats and topcoat.

Glam Polish Cast a Spell III Miraculous

Glam Polish Cast a Spell III Miraculous

Glam Polish Miraculous is a peach sparkling pastel holo shade. To be honest, this isn't my favorite. The shade of peach looks a bit dirty on me, it's too close to my skintone. Formula was on point just like the rest. 2 coats and topcoat.

Glam Polish Cast a Spell III Spellbound

Glam Polish Spellbound is a periwinkle sparkling pastel holo shade. So soft and pretty! I think this one will sell fast, it has that airy look to it and the sparkle is just divine. Can you guess how the formula was? That's right, perfection :) 2 coats and topcoat.

Overall conclusion
These shades just scream Spring to me and besides Miraculous clashing with my skintone, I like all of them. The formula is perfect, which seems to be a very constant factor with Glam Polish. My favorites are Hypnotize and Mesmerize, and I definitely want to use those as a base for stamping sometime!

  2. I have a couple from their previous releases, but I'm loving these pastels too! Especially the lavender and the periwinkle ones.

  3. Miraculous is actually my favorite, which is surprising! But I've been gravitating to a lot of nude and nude-ish shades lately.

Ok, I do not like green polish at all, but I have to tell you that it always look amazing on you. It's your skin tone and green that just looks great together. Anyway, the sparkle in these are super pretty and I really like all of these. Fantastic swatches, as always!!

When scrolling through your photos I immediately fell for Hypnotize ( my mom, who recently passed used to collect depression glass and this shade of green always reminds me of her jadeite collection) and then for Miraculous (nudey holo-ness, YES!). I'm glad you said the bit about it being a dirty looking peach on you. I cannot seem to find a peach polish that looks good on me, they look dirty and I always felt like a weirdo saying that because no-one else seems to have that issue!

  27. I was worried about that too.. I've read some experiences with CbL with fading and such, so hopefully this isn't one of the affected shades.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I CAN'T WAIT I CAN'T WAIT I CAN'T WAIT! *prepares trigger finger for this afternoon* Your swatches are divine as usual!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  37. They definitely are perfect for Spring! Which ones are you the most excited about?

    ReplyDelete
  38. It's such a fun twist on the theme! Glad you like them :).

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's a perfect choice then! Do you wear peach a lot?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Right?! And at a speed that is unbelievable!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Thanks Julie! They are truly mesmerizing.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thanks so much! I'll admit, there are greens that give me major lobster hands, but I try and avoid those ;). Thanks girl!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Aww don't be silly, your swatches are to die for! And yes, I am too - I have both upcoming collections waiting to be swatched and they are SO good!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Haha nope, no surprise there :D. Glad you love them!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I love how they are all sorts of attention grabbing, but still subtle :).

    ReplyDelete
  46. Why pick favorites, just grab them all ^^!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thanks Mina! They are all so sparky!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I agree, they all have something pretty about them!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm sorry for your loss Stacy, it must be hard to miss your mom. Maybe it would be a nice one to get as a memory of your mother :).

About those peach tones, yeah, it happens to me a lot actually! But I can't recall anybody else ever having that issue. Glad to hear I'm not alone!

    ReplyDelete
  50. It's a great transition shade from winter to spring!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thanks Kelli! They are so lovely, really unique and the formula is just divine.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I was soooo happy while putting them on! No duds regarding formula and all so sparkly and nice.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yup, Rachel just keeps on creating true stunners! Thanks Liesl.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yes, they have a candy feel to them indeed! Thanks Nicole :).

    ReplyDelete
  55. Nope, it's all stunning what Rachel creates! Thanks Jenna!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thank you! I think even non-glitter fans can appreciate the soft beauty of these shades, they aren't as in your face as some glitter bombs can be.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Haha I have a mental image now of a wallet, sitting in the corner hiding drom your grabby hands :P

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hahaha, drool-fest :D. Glad you like them!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thank you! Hopefully Hypnotic Polish will get these so you can at least grab a few.

    ReplyDelete
  60. "you won the lottery, what are you going t do?" "BUY ALL THE POLISH!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thanks Stepahnie! Yeah, I can see some similarities, you mean the Bubly set right?

    ReplyDelete
  62. HA, which ones did you get :D? And thanks ♥.

    ReplyDelete
  63. For me the green and the periwinkle... but unfortunately our car decided it was time to part ways with this mortal plane. The garage guys have been able to change its mind but that came at a nasty (but necessary) cost... so no polishes for me for a while *sobs*

    ReplyDelete
  64. Ugh, aren't cars the worst?! Why do they always pull off crap like that?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I don't! It's hard to find a peach that's flattering to my pale-ness. lol.
