Creamy lace stampicure

Hi loves! I'm back with some more nailart today - this time featuring a lace design from the MoYou London Bridal 07 plate. Can you believe that I never used it before?! I'm weird like that... But I finally did and I loved the outcome ^^.

To create this look I started with a creamy, ivory base that has some yellow in it. It's from Kaleidoscope by El Corazon, it's part of the same collection as the minty shade I used in my splatter post! The formula was okay, I needed 3 coats for proper opacity, I love the color though - it's a warm shade and quite flattering I think. It did level nicely so that's a plus.

While letting it dry I applied my El Corazon Cuticle Defender to protect my skin from the stamping. This is such an amazing product! Like really really amazing, but I've been rambling about it before already ^^. The stamping itself was done using Konad Black and the MoYou London Bridal 07 plate. I finished with my Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat - lately it has been shrinking a bit on me. I have the larger refill bottle and the new topcoat isn't as thick, but I think adding to the thicker left over topcoat isn't helping? Maybe I should pour out what's left in my bottle and just do a clean refill.. any tips?

What do you think of this lace design? What is your favorite lace stamping plate? Tell me in the comments!

  1. Echt prachtig. Probeer al vrij lang via Ebay een leuke lace plate te vinden. Vind het zo mooi!

  2. Nice stamping and beautiful base! I'm still trying to avoid buying polish to save up some more so my wishlist has grown to record length... but I'm adding this one anyway ;)

I usually add polish thinner until the contents of the bottle are as thin/fluid as in the refill bottle (I check it by tilting the small bottle and the refill bottle and see how it moves, if that makes any sense). After that I just refill my small bottle :)

  3. Your stamping skills never cease to amaze me!! When my top coat thickens, I usually add thinner to it (you can get liberal with thinner because it'll eventually evaporate anyway!) and then it's just like new again :)

  4. The stamping is perfect!! I think this kind of stsmping looks really good to the background you used and also to a nude/pink background! Good luck with your top coat, I've read the other comments and thinner is a good chioce, but I'm not sure it's the best choice.

  5. Oh, these are a beauty! Not to mention that that El Corazon looks lovely on you!
I don't have a favourite lace stamping plate, 'cause I own only one (haha), so I guess that's my favourite, 'cause there's no other ;)

  6. Oh wow! These are super stunning! Very elegant. I love that El Corazon base colour! And I agree with the comments below, thinner usually helps for me.

  7. I love this - it's such a classic look! And that base color is really flattering on you! I'm also a fan of using thinner to make the remainder of a top coat come back to life.

  8. So beautiful! I love how delicate the stamp is, but the contrast between the soft base and the black details is so bold!

  15. Thanks Bella! I love it when the lace stands out so that's why I went with the light background ^^.

  16. Aww, thanks Kelli ♥. Yeah I now thinned the remaining topcoat before adding new and it seems to behave better :-).

  21. Thank you so much! Yeah it only does the shrinking if it gets thick so that I can't apply it "outside" the nailpolish, if that makes sense.
