Swatches & Review - Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection [limited edition]

Hi loves! Woah, am I late to the party with these beauties? I'm talking about the Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection [limited edition]! This was released March 9th and yes, it is limited edition. Which means to grab some of these before it's too late! Along with the 5 lacquers Cirque Colors released their Matte Look™ Top Coat, so I used that as well with these shades!

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Gaia

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Hatch

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Love Stone

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection New Moon

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Qi

I'll try and persuade you with these swatches ;-).

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Gaia is an inky black with silver flakes. The black is more of a jelly finish allowing the flakes to really shine through the base. Depending on the light they might appear a bit golden as well. Nice formula, I needed 2 coats for opacity, no topcoat for the glossy swatches!

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Hatch

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Hatch is a speckled white. My favorite of these! I've worn it like 3 times already, and it's just perfect. The white base isn't too stark and the speckles are so fun. Formula is great, 2 easy coats are all you need! It is stunning both glossy and matte.

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Love Stone

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Love Stone is a petal pink with gold sparks. Very cute and girly! It pulls very peachy on me but not in a bad way, and the golden sparkle is so pretty and glowy when mattified. I used 3 coats, this one's slightly more patchy on the first coat so you'll need to even it out a bit more.

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection New Moon

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection New Moon is a concrete gray with silver sparks. The sparks are a lot smaller in size compared to the silver flakes in Gaia, and I prefer the small sparks over the larger flakes personally. The grey base is creamy and easy to apply, 2 coats were all I needed.

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Qi

Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection Qi is a blue turquoise with gold sparks. This one seems to be the most complex, the blue base is a little bit more sheer on the first coat and it seems to give some great dimension to the finish. All you need are 2 coats for opacity, I'd recommend doubling up on basecoat since blues like these are known for their staining abilities.

Overall conclusion
A lovely collection for Spring and with some very surprising shades! Right off the bat Hatch became my favorite, but both Qi and Love Stone are trying to kick it off its throne. The Matte Look™ Top Coat applies so nicely, it's thin and fluid and dries to a gorgeous matte finish.

What do you think of these 5 shades? Any favorites? Tell me in the comments!
Cirque Colors is sold through their own website. The Cirque Colors The Awakening Collection retails for $13 per bottle, worldwide shipping available. There are also various stockists selling Cirque polishes so be sure to check if you can shop more locally, too. These shades are limited edition.
